Checked out the Solitude Mountain Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon just outside Salt Lake City Utah. The resort has 1200 acres of terrain served by 8 lifts. The resort is connected with Brighton Resort just a few miles up the canyon.
How did you like the zx108 compared to your on3p's? its cool to see your style change slightly for different skis. Seems like you were really powerful on these. How does the fun factor compare?
I prefer the snow at Steamboat, CB, Wolf Creek, and Silverton over Utah snow. They get a lot of snow but CO snow is lighter in my opinion. Great riding as always my brethren!
Been enjoying your CB videos for years, and it's really cool to see you skiing a mountain I've skied more than probably anywhere else. Soli is great and your first run on the east facing HCC where you dropped in the gully is my zone. :D Keep it up man!
Alll the resorts in the city canyons are steeped with tradition and more snow...(lake effect from great salt lake)..Deer Valley and Park City are farter away from cottenwoods, but offer huge areas.
Solitude is not a popular resort in Utah for some reason but it’s closest to me and I’ve been 100’s of times going to a different resort is cool and all but there’s nothing to knowing all the mountain I can find un cut snow 5-6 days after snow at soli no problem.
Once your trip is done, we need the Cottonwoods to CB comparison video. I'ts been like 30 years since I've done Alta/bird/Park City. Never done Big Cottonwood. Skiing out there was great, but I guess I'm just used to the old CB Rocks and Stomach Knots now. Great video as always.!
@Colorado Camera did you hit Alta as well? Or just Solitude and Snowbird? Asking because I was only planning 1 day at each as well. Might stick to one or the other for both days if it's that epic!
@@jacobovermyer I skiied both in one day, the areas are very different, overall I liked Snowbird more due to the terrain honestly, though Sbowbird had longer lines onky waited for a tram once, Alta was less crowded and had better snow, terrain is still insane and fun but maybe not as sustained as Snowbird
