Solium Infernum really is one hell of a game! (Don't tell me if someone used that tagline. I want to think it's original.) An extremely polished and entertaining multiplayer board game style experience akin to other player-interaction based board games (e.g. Diplomacy), but still very playable in single player vs. AI!

You mentioned a potential multiplayer with Das, Lucid, and Battlemode but then got distracted and didn't finish the thought. I assume that it fell through by the way you were talking, or is it just not a concrete plan yet?

I really enjoy the original and I'm glad it got a polished sort of sequel sort of remake. I do feel like the game is a little imbalanced in places. I gather it keeps some of the issues of the original that if you luck into the perfect dueling hero or get an item that makes them perfect, you can duel every single turn and force someone to lose a hero or give you prestige by declining the duel. Similar things can happen with legions. I recall heroes and items that double a battle phase or force your strongest battle phase to occur first are pretty busted. Happy to see "power behind the throne" and "kingmaker" still exist tho. Really fun in multiplayer. Power says if you are a vassal and your lord wins, you steal the win from them. Kingmaker is similar except you pick a player within the first 10 turns and you don't need to be their vassal. They're crowns in this game so you are sacking your relic choice for the alt win condition but so funny to win that way.

no it s your tagline i think, after all for 99% of youtuber have the same one "This is basically civilization in hell" and as soon as i hear that i stop the video to watch something else. it s like saying "resident evil this is basically zelda but in the modern world"

I'm not saying I haven't enjoyed the change, but I'm curious if there's a reason you aren't playing RTW3 any longer?

I think to complete another series of that I would need a working auto-resolve mod, because the tactical battles get repetitious. But I haven't finished making my new one.
