Sarah , your videos are amazing. I’ve always been drawn to the desert and I plan on exploring all of the southwest sometime. Have you ever thought of getting an off road trailer ? Take as much gas , food , water , supplies , etc. without worrying about running out in the middle of nowhere. Keep up the good work and videos , young lady. You are an inspiration.

Bill Fong --- there really isn't any public health emergency. This whole hoax is so that the white hats can rout out the black hats, and so the global currency reset can be implemented. Just 68 Americans have croaked from this "COVID-19". Sound like a pandemic to you? Countries world wide are in on this hoax, sealing their borders. Know why? To keep the bad guys from seeking refuge hither & yon. It's that simple. I mean, yes, there's a virus, but it's not a dangerous one any more than any virus is. People die with flu every year. "Coronavirus" is a nothing-burger.
@JOHNWLOUCKS
@JOHNWLOUCKS 4 года назад
@@marilynguinnane4663 not a hoax ! It has really been blown out of proportion though.The one thing it has done, is prove we have weak leadership at the top. Those red hats keep scapping up those guns though. Maybe they can shoot the virus !

Marilyn Guinnane Hoax, or not, it’s effect has been very disruptive for us at the moment!
@marilynguinnane4663
@marilynguinnane4663 4 года назад
@@JOHNWLOUCKS -- Au contraire. We have incredibly strong leadership at the top. There's a method to Trump's madness and it's going to make us all prosperous. The GCR (global currency reset) entails a jubilee, wherein all debt is forgiven, both personal and governmental. All countries are going back onto the gold standard and this has been agreed upon. FYI, our president is going to be hailed as a hero. Meanwhile, his whole intent on keeping us off the streets while the black hats are rounded up and shipped off to GITMO is based on the hoax that this sill virus is lethal. It may well be lethal to some, but it's not anywhere close to the Spanish flu. "Staying home" is a ruse. Closing businesses down, he feels, is necessary. In the end, no one is going to suffer so it's an inconvenience at best. Meanwhile, those whose names are on the indictments may well have hired mercenaries and it might get a tad nasty 'out there'. We may see martial law. If so, don't worry about it. You know that expression, "It's all good" ? For once, that's true.

@@kylerdad123 -- Yes, but you know? I was telling my sister that we need to stop complaining, because look at what our parents went through. First the Depression, which was hell. Secondly,right after the Depression, WWII hit when there were ration books and you couldn't even get butter unless you knew someone with a cow. What we have to endure for a few mos. is a piece of cake.

It's a "line cabin". That's where the cowboys that were taking care of the heard out in the middle of no where stayed until the cattle were all moved for the season. This one is probably a summer location. There is one almost EXACTLY like it as far as construction is concerned in Fish Lake past the hot springs on the way up to Mineral Ridge called Cave Springs. It had the exact same kind of roof with dirt on it and a cactus growing out of it. But someone came a long and removed the old original roof and replaced it with plastic. They have since abandoned the site.

Goddam ! What an imagination ! Ya gotta love it....this gal Hussy, is quite the fearless explorer....Its a water well...the arm goes up and down with a rod attached inside a pipe, pumps water up another pipe with a check valve or two.....to the troughs....Probably an old gas motor as a power source. I would think for horses or mules...tall for cows, but those cattle would jump in anyway and make a mess of a good thing. That cabin, in its day would have been a good last stand, provided there was a good way out, when the food ran out, or the invaders fired up the door with a bon fire.....wood and trees then......heavy ass rocks...more than one old cuss lived there. Hussy, Sweetlips, sorry you having grief, but a trip usually helps. Thanks for sharing this interesting trip. 🥰

the thingie next to the well is called a pump jack, it operated a "sucker rod" which operated a piston in a cylinder down the well, water wells are usually smaller than oil wells that's the only difference....some pump jacks were totally enclosed in a iron box to protect from the elements, a windmill had a pump jack built into the gear box but if the pump was to engine or motor powered the jack was a necessary element...small jacks for water wells are rare because they are easily carted off by scrappers, tweekers

Sarah Jane's 2017 Toyota 4Runner has a 23 gallon fuel capacity. 2017 4Runners are old school body-on-frame "trucks" (with a low range capable transfer case). Therefore, they get borderline horrible mileage of 17 city, a bit more highway. Regardless, her rig has a 300 mile + range, easy. Sarah fueled up at the Shell Station in Ash Springs, not far from were she camped at Hot Creek Spring the first night of this trip. This isn't Sarah's first rodeo. She is managing her fuel range just fine.
