Congratulations! I am proud of EVERY moment! Rather by car, bike, hike, train, bus, whatever. You were out there. YOU did the work. You persevered through the rough times, the weather, the detours, the mechanical issues. YOU did that! This is your journey and no one gets to diminish it in any capacity because you did or didn’t “follow” perceived standards. Yes. You biked across the America. Period. Great job 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🤩🤩

Hello, this is the finale to the series called “The Scattered Archive” because I didn’t film a whole lot during my first trip. As I continue to grow as a filmmaker I am understanding the elements I need to create a whole narrative. Right now, though, I am focusing on creating more and keeping it simple so I can become consistent on my social channels. The aim is a new episode a week. I will be editing the Korea content next and then recapping the Alaska trip from 2022. The aim is to upload 3 videos a week. Talking about my current adventures, my progress, mental health topics and the progress on becoming a full time Adventure travel Filmmaker. If you’re interested in supporting subscribe and check out my Patreon. Early releases and more: www.patreon.com/RecapturingLife Or check out ko-fi.com/recapturinglife

@RecapturingLife 3 дня назад
@@PeacefulPlanting-Sydnee Yellowstone was amazing! I completely recommend it! I have learned that solo travel isn’t as scary as we’re being led to believe. Yes there are bad people out there but there are a whole lot of good people too. Just lesson to your instincts and grow them to look out for you. So you can make the best decision for yourself. But yes be brave and adventure! My parents, siblings and friends all have my location. I check in daily. I hope you take some time to explore. Let me know if you have any questions!

So inspiring! When you started out you were pleased to make 20 miles in a day. Now you can do 87 miles a day - and with all that gear! That’s quite an accomplishment. And your trip looked really beautiful. It made me want to get on a bike and go. The lessons I learned from this are a) you don’t have to be ready to do it all when you begin, you just have to start and keep going; and b) don’t stick to your plan too much, but be open to detours and new ideas as you go.
@RecapturingLife
@RecapturingLife 6 дней назад
@@mgittler Thank you so much. One of the main things I loved while out there was seeing myself grow. In small ways and large. I was indeed ecstatic when I completed 20 miles. And then 87 was mind blowing. It really shows that you are capable of a lot. I agree with those lessons 100%. I honestly think it’s important sometimes. Because we can create way to many scenarios as to why we are not ready yet. When we most likely are. And yes not sticking to a plan can make everything more enjoyable. You never know what could happen if you’re flexible. I hope you try a bike tour. Even if it’s an overnighter. It is a great experience.

Nothing wrong with being off the bike when you need it. I took a train a few times while cycling Japan. Once to get off a road I didn't feel safe on, once to make a ferry I was going to be late for and once to get ahead to a major city faster to get my camera repaired.
