In this AJFS adventure I head out solo on a two day one night mission looking for big brook trout! This is my first ever solo trip and probably the hardest thing I’ve done to date. I worked my butt off getting to these remote waters and boy was I rewarded! Stay tuned and enjoy as I show my technique on getting these late summer brookies!

What an amazing video! Glad the trip in was worth it, those fish look like they're starting to get ready for the spawn. You can feel the air getting cooler now. Congrats on the fatty, hopefully this means a great start to Specktember!

Incredible day of BT fishing for sure. Appreciate the teaching on technique. Getting deep into the park is likely the key here, to the less fished lakes of Algonquin. Until the next one, cheers 😊

Thank you! Rod was a 9ft medium Fenwick, reel was a Shimano Sedona 2500 with 10 pound mono line

@@TheAverageJoesFishingShow i've used a 5 ft telscopic from zebco about $20 . About 7 lb damyl tectan mono . Specks up to 5 lbs , bass too. Use a shimano mark 1Q reel .

Im going to buy a couple of the Berkeley minnows for late September, we’re fishing some back lakes above the Opeongo. Is it worth using an in line spinner or flasher to get the crank bait down deeper when trolling? Great Algonquin video ! I’ve Learned so much watching these videos.

Come on man , tell me at least the initial of this lake's name ! I've never got any close to have this great trout fishing at algonquin .... too many lakes lol
