He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:11-13)
Ah, just saw the Tolbers notification! Settled down, cracked open a beer, and fired up another great Tolbers video experience. This guy and his killer van set-up, I love it, as always. Blessings to this man. By the way, I love the Biblical verses and references in his video work. Sacred and valid stuff, y'all.
Regarding your omelet. Next time spray your Pam on the pan. Let it get sizzling hot. You"ll know if you drop a few drops of water on the Pan and it dances and sizzles it's ready for the egg. Once the edges of the omelet looks dry try folding it in half. The reason it didn't work the 2nd time is because you already had food stuck to the pan and your 2nd omelet stuck to the food already stuck to the pan. Next time clean your pan before you attempt making another back to back omelet. I love watching you. Looking forward to your next video.
Here’s the secret on how to use a stainless steel skillet without your food sticking and/or burning: never add food (or cooking spray) to a cold or cool pan. So, start by heating your stainless pan up nice and hot over high heat for a few minutes. Once it’s nice and hot, you can then lower the temp just a bit like med high heat. Then you can add your spray then add the eggs/food. Once you get good at this you will find you don’t even need the spray. Your food, including eggs, won’t stick at those temps. 🎉 Use this method anytime you are cooking with a stainless pan. Your food will come out so good and you’ll find you’re a much better chef than you thought! Enjoy!!
Tip for you... When we boondock I just put the frozen meatballs into my casserole dish with the sauce then place it with a lid into my Sabot Heat warmer on high. It's delicious, only dirties one dish and sips energy while cooking. Doing it this way allows the meatballs to soak up the sauce for more taste and tenderness. Also the lid can snap back on and go into the fridge for leftovers.
I see truck camping vids all the time but I can't justify the expense of a truck. Vans get much better gas mileage, cheaper insurance, appear to be comfortable, and still have a lot of cargo space. At 49 I don't really give a shit about looking cool so the more I see these van vids, the more I'm intrigued by them 👍
A friend found an Arctic Air outside a dumpster. I love it! We're camped at Quartzsite, AZ and it makes a huge difference in our minivan. Like you said, folks are expecting an actual "air conditioner." They need to give it a fair trial because it does the trick in 98 plus temperatures. As for your omelet, a little oil & butter no cooking spray and less heat. Still looked good regardless.
Omg the funniest thing happened. I am in bed watching your shows to get ready for a few day streak of work at the hospital in our ER department. So as I’m zoning out watching you, my husband turns the ac really cold to get ready to sleep for the night and it begins blowing the cold air from the vents on me just as you say it’s getting super windy we may have a storm coming. And for a split second I felt I was there with you watching the trees blow around and feeling the ac rushing in. The timing could not have been better. Lol. Enjoy your videos, my husband knows I’m obsessed with van life but he isn’t, so I live the dream out of these videos but one of these days I’m getting my own minivan and converting it and taking it out on days off. I know another nurse whose husband doesn’t like it either so she just rented a Sprinter for a 8 day trek in Colorado to feel the van life. One of these days it will be my turn. :)
Just bought 2 of them Artic Air's for $15 bucks each from the clearance rack at walmat in Elk River. Still some left. You lucky dog getting a shout out from KENNY! Be kind, be honest LOL
Nice bro! I heard him mention my name but didn’t notice a shoutout, I wish he would lol. I’ve been talking to him since he had 3k subs and have shouted him out twice now. Great guy

I really enjoyed this trilogy Matt. I learn so much from your videos and really appreciate it. Great idea to repost some prior ones together. Camp on! 😊
So glad you enjoyed it and yeah it gives people something to watch when I don’t have a new video. There will be a few that have seen them all and don’t like it but it helps build the channel and get a little income in also which will help me get another dedicated camping van soon.
Wow, an Artic Air! I still have a "first gen" model, when they first came out. And yes, it still works. Only prob I had with it was that model used a step-up transformer that took the 3.7 volt input (USB) to 5 volt output. The transformer was fried. Me, being an electronics techie nerd who refuses to lose, I made the innards to run full-time on 5 volts DC. I wasn't gonna throw the damn away, I liked it, despite that glitch in electro-engineering. I even added an addition fan. Works with the existing factory fan, which I rigged up as a "pull-pull" configuration. In English, this Artic Air pulls pulls, THEN pushes nearly twice its velocity (2x suck and blow, lol). Those are my pros (with my so-called mods and wannabe engineering). Cons? Only one, which is the small reservoir. Limited water/ice cube tank. Works great, a little FOG machine! But ya gotta keep tabs on water/ice refills. Yes, I live in a low-no humidity area--Arizona/Southern Cali, so my modded 2016-year Artic Air performs great! It has cooled a 250 square-foot bedroom with no issues. As for the newest Artic Airs? Yeah, I'm gonna buy one, to accompany my original AA!
8:50 with the ice set up, you can try just getting a normal fan and put in front of it a frozen water bottle, freeze an empty 2 litr milk bottle and put it in front of a fan. d.i.y
Hey! Looking great Matt! You are making me want to go camping! need to make plans for that real soon. thanks! oh pro tip on smores - instead of Hersheys chocolate - use peanut butter cups! God is good!
I appreciate the pro Christian values you have and positive attitude!! Have no doubt the Lord has sent you to inspire other people to turn to Christianity.
Stainless pans have pores, theyre not very good for omlettes, you need to heat them up enough first to where the pores have closed up and that will help stuff not stick but u will still need plently of butter or oil if youre cooking an omelette
You should try a homemade AC. Get a styrofoam cooler, dry ice, a pc fan, and a flexible aluminum duct. Cut 2 holes on each side of the cooler and find a way to get the one fan to stay that will be blowing air into the cooler. tape the duct to the cooler, put dry ice into the cooler, close it and turn it on. I'd always wanted to try it but where I live, there's no where to get dry ice.
Another great camping trip Matt! Add butter and melt it first. Then let the eggs cook, flip before adding the ham and cheese… still looks yummy! God bless you !
I was gonna say that too. With stainless steel, you really need some kind of oil or fat - and nothing beats butter with eggs. In case they get dry, I like ketchup and tabasco on them. And if it doesn’t look like an omelette, just call it scrambled eggs. LOL Good first attempt at omelettes, they are tricky.
@@adriennetochter6873 I love Tabasco on my eggs too!…. Never use that non stick spray… it poison oils!… stick with butter and lower heat as to not burn the butter!
How's it going Tolber. Excellent wholesome content as usual! Come camping in New Zealand mate you'll love it! Respect, mate. Take care! Kia Ora! #Blessed!
Bro I dig ur channel ! I am a Christian also keep up the passages remember we’re the light of the world and the salt of the earth!!!!!’ But could you please get some fishing in?!?!?! I mean come on ur in Minnesota OH GEEZE
Matt, consider wrapping the AC exhaust hose loosely with Reflectix twice around, since when cooling the van, the exhaust hose will get very hot and releast the heat into the front of the van.
I know this was 2 weeks ago, but if you turn the flame down after the bottom part of the egg cooks and start flipping it, then the rest of the running egg from the heat of the PAN. We'll start to cook and it won't stick it back. Also, if you really heat up the PAN a lot, cause it's an aluminum PAN. Aluminum aluminum takes a long time to actually heat all the way through Before you put the food if you drop water in the PAN and it bouncer's around.I've now lacked just a couple of drops. And it bounces around the aluminum is ready
Keep the pan on the heat for longer. Test it by tossing a little water on the pan - look for the water to bounce on the pan instead of instantly evaporate. That's when you know it's hot enough to not have the egg stick.
Another quality video brother 👌 a really great set up you got there, you ever come across a bear yet that you’ve had to deal with? Wat about 🐍 gotta be Rattlers out there right? Till the next one stay safe 👊🚐👊
Been watching your videos for a few months now, got to say I love the content and appreciate you sharing your adventures, and how humble you are. I also always appreciate the bible verses. God Bless brother!
Cool Video dude, I know your Mr camping, with all the gadgets, but one thing I never seen you do is have a portable shower with warm water… I would never be able to fall asleep being all sweaty & dirty.
Omelet was sticking to the pan, so you probably had temp too high if you were using cooking spay. Depending on the type of pan, I'd suggest using oils instead of cooking sprays. Works better with stainless steal cookware from my experience
When using stainless steel, you need to allow the pan to heat up first, then spray is and allow the nonstick to slightly cook into the pan. Then…..no stick!
U should try both of the ac in the van on a hot night in July … two ac one night .. see how cold u can it to full flat all night on both … heavy duty sleeping bag
Great video like always ❤ I don’t know where you get all these gadgets but I just love them 😅I think you did pretty good with the ham and cheese omelette looked yummy 😋 the ride on the scooter was kind of bumpy but awesome Until your next adventure stay safe stay healthy and like always may god watch over you on this amazing journey my friend 🙏❤️✌🏼
I love your aura. Could you put security cameras outside so when your in the van you can see what's going on out there? Wait you have a camera out? I seen a 🛸 😉
First time viewer. I enjoyed this. Very chill and relaxing. Van setup looks great. With the omelette, I'd use butter instead of the cooking spray. That's for certain. As for the method? I've tried the hot pan and then add butter and then dropped the temp down to low and cooked eggs reasonably well. I've also done eggs on a low heat for the whole process and they came out fine as well. Find what works for you. You'll learn how your heat source works and where the hot spots are. Grab the pan and move it around. Trial and error. You'll figure it out. You mentioned you lost quite a bit of weight over the last 4 months. Congrats! Was this a conscious effort? What inspired it? How'd you do it? Again, first time viewer, I'll probably find the answers when I start watching the older videos. Great stuff. I'm in. Edit: I forgot to ask. What was the name of the solar bug zapper with the different color lighting that you had on the table in the first part of the video? I love the different light options it offers. Cheers.
Hey glad to have you! Thanks for the tips of the food. Yeah I lost a lot of weight by getting in the gym and intermittent fasting. Lotsa butter and low heat for perfect omelette. Catch n Cook vids will get you a plaque. Question: what are you using the two compartments under the rubber floor mat for??
Saw a guy looked just like you lol 😂😂 that would be funny if it was, I was literally pulled over figured on one of your videos and a guy jogged by and waved that looked exactly like you 🤯🤯
That is basically a humidifier. If you are in a hot dry climate, or it's winter and you like a cool bedroom and it's really dry, either would work well. Humid hot summer, not so much.
It’s basically just a powerful little fan that blows cool moist air at you, feels good when directly blowing on you but won’t actually cool a room. Thanks for watching, God bless
@@TolbersCamping I'd be careful using that in the summer. Too much condensation and you can grow mold. Same as window seals on a house that collect moisture can too grow mold. FYI.
@@l.b.3148 yeah anything’s possible, but from my experience as long as you use your air conditioner the next day it’ll take any moisture out of the vehicle before that would happen. Just like my past house that was brand new was super air tight so if we didn’t run this air circulator during the winter when the air conditioner was off we would get mold around the window but if we did run it we’d have no problem.
