Thanks for this. I use this mainly for storage augmentations for friends or if I get a new ship. It used to be you just delete a crafted portable refiner, but now it’s deconstruct. Much obliged, Interloper! 😎👍

You can leave the last one there and then replace the refiners back on top so you don't have to fiddle with the inventory.

This allows duplicates of any item vs the side by side method it had to be refinable

Still works as of 5/31/23 Normally i enjoy just playing the game naturally, but on those occasions where i want to speed things up and dont feel like grinding, this is a gem of a glitch

That was one of the first things I checked out for after the update. I'm playing the Utopia Mission and they don't let you do it on there so that tells me that they know it exists and that they left it. Hopefully they realize people like to use it

I can confirm that this still works as of the 6th April 2023, after the Interceptor update. Got myself 24 starship AI valves from a starting point of 4 in around 5 seconds. I mean you could just go into creative and make yourself as many stacks of fusion ignitors and stasis devices as you want if you're after units, but whats the fun in that? Edit: I now have an entire freighter cargo box full of stacks of 100 Starship AI valves. That's somewhere near 40 billion units. From scrapping one ship.

i'm not a fan of duping, but i always do it for the salvaged data modules and the salvaged freighter modules to unlock all the building stuff as those are an absolute pita without duping, seriously, units and nanites i get the "legitimate" way, but screw those modules to unlock building plans

This works for nanites too btw, basically you dupe a few full stacks of tainted metal. Then you refine them in the first refiner until you have a stack of about 4,000 nanites in the outcome box. This will takes some time unfortunately and you need to keep an eye on the fuel. Once you have that max nanite stack, PICK IT UP and drag it over to the input box of the refiner, drop it in there. Now do the glitch with the nanites. Obviously dont break the first refiner or the original nanite stack will return to your inventory and you'll have to start over! I highly recommend placing the new refiners just off but still close enough to work, this way you can keep track of the original so you don't break it. You're welcome!

Completely ridiculous that they let us cheat every element of the game in the difficulty menu, but they patch out item duplication and call it a quality of life upgrade. Terrible job of reading your player base.

Unless you have a mod allowing you to increase your wealth holding, it doesn't matter you have 10,000 stasis device, the limit of your wealth holding is only a little more than 4 billion units. LOL

@@qballgamingYT I have a stasis device farm that gives me 70 stasis devices just by mining and refining everyday. I was so happy until I hit the limit and found out I got nothing selling them. So, I did some research to find out the wealth limit. Now, I realize the only use of my units is pretty much to get more storage for my starship or perhaps to buy a freighter which I still have no idea of the purpose cause I am kind of new to the game and I am not following the storyline. I only use two of my starship's weapons and I don't need inventory storage too much. So, I have enough of them already. I already have 4 S class starships and I only have one that I use often. And I have not much incentive of collecting starships. I still don't know what the center of the galaxy is and how I can get there. If it is not related to the number of units that I earn, I will be really disappointed.

Credits are completely useless anyway, and this game allows you to print money without cheating. It was just an example. Most people are duplicating simple parts that save hundreds of hours of shooting rocks to collect.

I have never understood why devs patch these kinds of glitches in a SINGLE PLAYER game, what's the point?? It's literally not hurting anybody else, and it's not like they have micro-transactions to protect like rockstar, on pc you can edit the save files so why not patch that? it's just so stupid and makes no sense when they could be focusing on what really matters
