Mr. David Schmaus I Love Your Vids Amigo! I Love Aviation along with Tons of Aircraft but....The Piper PA-22 Tri-Pacer is the Holy Grail and next a nice simple,Piper J-3. I am not a Pilot but I Love Aviation and Flight Simming. If I were a Pilot and had to pick 2 Planes to own it would be those 2 for sure! Thanks for bringing Aviation to us! God Bless!
@@davidschmaus1 I have a Story and it is a bit of a boring one but the main thing is I dreamt of being a GA Pilot and was about embark on making that happen when the rug got Yanked out from under Me. For Me Flight Sims are the only option now. That Tri-Pacer of Yours is one Sweet Lady!! Never been to Osh Kosh but it is on My Bucket list!
David, I just watched the video for the second time. It is as awesome as it was the first time. You have a beautiful setup with your Tri-Pacer. I'm hoping that you and family are well.
Man I love your videos, the quality is great and you make straight up good grass roots aviation content!! Also I want a Tri Pacer so bad, they are amazing little planes.
What a cool video David! I love the Tripe, but I don't think I'd enjoy the night flying. I don't have a lot of night logged, but I probably should. I'm sorry I missed you at Oshkosh this year. My friends had a Tripe and a Pacer both in vintage camping, and we spent a lot of time there. I had to park my Cherokee in row 168 or so. I was almost at Fisk Ave.
My dad and I just got back Sunday from Whiteside county KSQI and the ACCA. It wasn't nearly as bad coming back but going up took about 8 hours due to stopped traffic north of Indiana. Wow your aircraft is probably pretty easy to spot at night with those strobes. Great flight and looking forward to the rest of the trip. Thanks as always for taking the time to share this with us all.
Very good footage. Waiting for next episode. I remember the Tri Pacers well. Im one of rhe vintage pilots. Planning to do OSH next year in my KR2 from 58N in PA. I can't carry as much as you can, so will be using hotels instead of camping. But will be 2 day trip each direction.
Thanks Gary, I really love my Tri-Pacer. Perfect plane for me. Looks like 58N is in a good location to be able to get our to the North East and do some exploring too. Thanks for watching! I'm uploading the next video as I type.
Thank you! Dude. You will love it. I keep looking at other planes to find an "upgrade". It would take a ton of money to move to something significantly better. Feel free to reach out with any questions
@@davidschmaus1 I started working on getting in the air a few years ago but instantly didn't wanna pay for plane rentals. Now I'll just learn the rest in my own plane.
It definitely is more reliable than the GoPros. It’s not quite as wide of a shot though I’d that’s important. It’s close. I was kind of waiting to see if they would come out with an update but I don’t think they will. I might pickup another one. The price on them out under 200 now.
I do. I have lots of hours on both. As far as comfort. They are so close that I’m happy wearing either. The Bose feel a little lighter but the DC’s battery lasts quite a bit longer. For the money I would buy the DC’s again.
Hello David, hello everyone. I was to ask you if true or false. I've read that Tripacer is a bad floater and its famous for gliding like a brick. When you were on final you put flaps at 75 MPH. So its true that nailing 70 MPH and up during glide slope it is a good way to avoid stall/sink rapidly. Certainly I will miss my old Aeronca. That thing was incredibly floating during final with extremely good response while executing side slips. Would you help me out with this one please? thank you.
Nice night flight David. Some cool footage and a good women you have there bro. Let's you go have fun. Shes a keeper😂. Hope you enjoyed Oshkosh. Such a pity that travel is still banned from this part of the world. Maybe next year.
