Solo Sail Up the Cape Fear | Catalina 25 

This solo sail up the Cape Fear River on our Catalina 25 was my first real solo sail...the other one lacked any wind! It was a very relaxing two-hour sail up the river followed by a rather sporty time motoring back to the marina for an hour into a head wind.
As expected the sailing portion was relaxing and peaceful...exactly why we have a sailboat! And, as expected, when the tides and currents turned to help carry me back home it was right into teeth of a headwind. But whether it was smooth sailing or a bouncy return it was great day on the boat.
