Join me on an epic adventure as I sail solo 10km to a deserted island on the east coast of Nassau, Bahamas. With only water and fishing gear, I take on my first ever food challenge by only eating what I can catch fishing.
This video captures my journey as I push outside my comfort zone and test my survival skills. It was a 3-hour sail with rain to get to the tiny deserted island, but I quickly scouted the island for resources and set up camp.
Building and maintaining a fire was a top priority as it would be essential for cooking my catch. After some effort, I finally got the fire started and went fishing. The hours passed by with no bites, but I persisted and finally caught a beautiful Grey Snapper. The feeling of relief and happiness was overwhelming, and the taste was amazing after hours of hunger.
After cleaning and cooking the fish, I enjoyed a satisfying meal and settled into my tent for the night. Although I was a bit cold during the night, I woke up to a gorgeous sunrise and set sail back to the mainland for another 2-hour sail.
Overall, this was an unforgettable experience with big highs and lows. It inspired me to plan more extensive food challenges in the future, including both lack of food and water.
