In the video I will show off the Ranger and the included carrying case. You will also get a glimpse of the Kindling Cracker XL splitting wood with very little effort. If you enjoy the video then please leave a like and comment if you have any questions or thoughts.

I had a solo stove lite for over 15 years now and it works great. Use it mostly when I’m backpacking. I ended up getting a campfire for when I am at summer camp or longer weekend camp outs. I’m now wanting a ranger. They gonna take all my monies. 🤣

I’ve had the solo campfire for a couple of years now. They came out with the Ranger just weeks after I bought the Campfire size. I’m now thinking I want something that I don’t have to saw the wood in smaller chunks for. This was the perfect comparison for me. Thanks.

The Ranger is on my toy list... I love sitting by a campfire in the evening and having the option to cook in an emergency, or even just outside when it is warm sounds great.

The solo campfire is brilliant for camping, hot enough to heat 2 people around it and give plenty of light too. It's so small and compact! Highly recommended I love mine. Thanks for the video, I'm now thinking of a ranger for summer. 😎

Thanks for the video, I think I would love the Solo Stove Campfire, it would be perfect for our next camping adventure.

I'd say there's always going to be smoke if overfilled. Once its really up and running if you make sure the wood is well below the secondary burn holes you just don't get any smoke.

Thanks for this video! Was debating between the two for my small-fish backyard. Think I'll go for the ranger.

I buy the cheapest bags of smoker wood chunks I can find, usually Oklahoma Joes on Amazon, and don’t have to cut anything for my solo Mesa.

Good comparison I have the campfire and use it all the time, was thinking of getting the ranger, ill need to sort out availability for free wood before I can feed the ranger. Would be nice if solo stove makes a unit between the ranger and campfire

We have some pines that are constantly dropping tons of pine cones. My guess is the solo campfire would be ideal for that, unless too much pitch in them?

I have the solo stove campfire. We take it with us to every camp. We love it so much that we ordered the Ranger for our backyard and maybe take it with us camping. By the way, where can I get one of those wood stand steel?
@stin987
@stin987 3 года назад
The steel wood splitter came from Northern Tool and Equipment. It’s called a Kindling Cracker XL.

Don't pour water on these when they are hot. It will warp.

Love these stoves. Great comparison video. Can you set the Ranger on a wood deck?
@stin987

Yes you can technically but I don’t recommend it.

You can get the Ranger with a ring that elevates it off a deck or other heat sensitive surface. It comes as a package option which is less expensive than buying separately.

I live in cold climate and have a balcony with a stone floor and a wood roof 2.5 meters above. Could I use the small solo stove without risking injuring the wood roof?
@2ndchanceinlife
@2ndchanceinlife Год назад
I made a small smokeless fire stove similar size to the solo campfire. 2.5 metres high wooden roof is safe to use it with a solo campfire. I would staple aluminium foil on the wooden roof up above the solo stove for the first try, just so you can practice on how many wood to feed and see how far the flame goes
