Really, really enjoyed this vlog, Max! The way you edited the video was quite calming. It felt like I was right there with you throughout your day. I’m a sucker for ASMR and so I really appreciated how you left the natural sounds of the van life mundanities. Also, your tofu stir-fry is right up mine & Adam’s street. Just the sound of you making your iced coffee was absolutely soothing this morning as I drank my morning coffee and watched your video. You’re so right that ambient sounds help you focus better when things need to get done. Don’t worry about folks asking for more of your time. Just do you and what fits into your goals. I really look forward to your videos, and because they aren’t 3 times a week, I feel like they are extra special and I pay more attention. You’re one of the only regular channels I watch where I don’t speed up the play to 1.5x so that says something right there. He's becoming a senior dog and I'm so glad that you are mostly dedicating your life to being with him. Nice vid. There was something very peaceful about watching your routine.

Max mate, No bother about the people who are wanting or demanding more videos from you on a regular basis, it's your life, and your life to live and choose what to do and when. Not gonna say I don't miss ya, but it just makes the videos you do post more valuable. Keep doing things here how you want to. Occy didn't seem himself in this video, is he ok? He seems rather uninterested in his normal active ways. I hope he's ok. Very happy knowing you're doing better Max. Way important man to take care of yourself as you need to on any given day and time. Each video I can see you're doing better than the last video. Ya know, anyone who knows what the last 2+ years has been for you knows why you're doing things the way you are at this point in life. You don't have the exact same lifestyle as you used to and have other priorities that carry more weight and responsibility than how you were just 3 years ago. You have no need to explain it or justify yourself each video. Just take care of yourself, get better, do videos when you can or want to. True followers wouldn't complain if they know the whole story, they would respect that you've decided to spend more of life not on camera as you used to do. Followers who have been with you for years for the most part will respect your choices and look forward to videos from you when you post them and wouldn't be complaining or making demands on you otherwise. We use towels on the floor and dogs when it's raining, makes for an easy clean up, no foot prints or wet stinky dogs, and then you can fold them up until you can wash them.

I like seeing the daily stuff. Actually I’d like to see a part 2, showing the daily tech stuff eg finding the dump spot, filling water tanks, emptying black tanks (??), how to check power usage and what to do if some gadget in your van is pulling too much power. How to cope with food storage when remote camping (when marinated tofu is not in any country town shops!). Your iced coffee looked so yum. Who designed your excellent van fit out? Really enjoy your content. An ambo/filming/editing and the talent. What a combo. Is there such a thing as seatbelts for dogs? The insulation thing is such a contentious issue amongst van lifers. (So many in Australia say you don’t need it if you’re not in snow country). I think it’s essential for the opposite reason, the incredibly heat we get in summer and the noise factor.

I’ve heard some crazy stories of animals and big spiders everywhere in Australia, but you guys camping in the woods didn’t seems scary at all. Occy was even in the bushes and he’s fine. I love your content and love seeing Occy of course! LOL at him nit making eye contact because he didn’t want to leave that camp spot. Also, who cares if you don’t make weekly content, we’ll still watch whenever you post, don’t want you burning out! Take care mates! (I’m only saying mate, because I’m now influenced)

I really like the calm & slow pace of this video, the clips with no music while going about your day, hearing the birds & the weather in the background, it makes it so immersive. You & Occy bring such a kind & genuine vibe to these videos, as much as I wish they were posted more often, it's best to spend that time resting & enjoying your surroundings.

Great response to not posting every week. What I heard: I work to live, not live to work and Occy's cool with that.

(drone shots excellent) Thanks so much for coming up to help with the flooding, we live off grid 40km from Lismore and all our roads were washed away, we were house bound for 5 days and had to travel as far as Casino to find petrol and dog food, the supermarkets there were bare. Everyone was trying so hard to survive and be brave and then the second flood happened. Anyway that was not my main reason for writing. Our border collie says can you let Occy know to keep an eye out for leeches. Literally lol. They are always around in the Northern Rivers but due to the wet weather they are HUGE this year. A short walk two days ago at home resulted in two huge ones on each paw and one in her eye. Not fun..

Great stuff Max & Occy.! Max, why don’t you get a dog blanket for Occy? If he gets a bit wet going out, just put it over your bed and he can jump without dirtying your bed sheets. We use one for our dog, on the sofa, bed etc, just to prevent his paws and coat getting everything dirty and then having to wash it. Just a thought, because it’s a bit harder to keep things together in a van.

Max this video really touched me in a way. I am a nurse of many years but had to have knee and hip replacements on both sides it been rough I have worked for 45 years been off a little over a year and my mental health has been a struggle. I’m used to working and worked a little over a year through the pandemic praying I find my way back. But your sense of routine it was like an epiphany I’m used to a routine and because of severe pain I find I don’t do much but I need to find a way to get some routine along with not stressing myself. Thank you for this video you can’t no what this video did for me. Give Occy the biggest hug from me please and you as well. Keep your peace..🐾❤️

Great video again Max nice to see a "normal" day for you and Occy! I love him he's a fantastic dog and companion you got there mate! Everytime I see your van I'm amazed without fail. If I manage to build a van out which I've been wanting to for 5 years and unable to for the last 3!- it's probably a good thing as I loved your last van with Lee, but then I saw Eamon and Becs new Van and then I saw YOUR new van and my self expectations of my own build are now stratospheric!! Even as a novice first timer! Been learning all things van build from DIY solar making own cells, insulation, ventilation, size, layout, hidden compartments fasteners all sorts even how to fix em! (And acquired a FULL tool kit any pro would be proud of! Lol) so now I just need a van(which are like gold dust and cost as much as Gold now!) And sell my house and I'm away!! You're a TRUE inspiration (as someone who myself has suffered severely with mental health depression and anxiety last few years! Lee's story and Yours have inspired and touched me deeply! And her passing affected me badly even though I didn't know you guys in person!) Anyhow it's great youve turned your life around rebounded as well as you have and shared your journey ups and downs and promoted Mental Health issues and awareness to end the stigma so WRONGLY associated with mental illness! I'm glad you even touched on it here mentioning about being stuck in the van when weather is bad etc and keeping routine! Sorry for the essay mate, but wanted to say you're an inspiration!! I want to thank you for your honesty about dealing with mental health issues. I started watching your channel (love van life travels) backwards so I just learned of Lee's passing. Because of you I have reached out to BetterHealth to help me deal with the loss of my father a couple months ago.
