since you have had this for a while now what are your thoughts of the Soloshot 3? I only see people stating its not worth buying... I like the concept.
Hey man nice video. Can you elaborate on what you meant by when it works it's great and when it's not working it's terrible. Thinking about picking one of these up to track some dirt bike riding you think it's going to work for that?
Hey thank you for viewing the video. Absolutely, the setup process was very frustrating. Simply put I had the same problem many other users had. The unit comes not completely charged which is ok however due to software bug the Soloshot 3 will not charge. Ironically the software update fixes this but the unit requires it to be 75% (cant remember exact %) or more to proceed with the software update. So the work around was tedious. After that the Soloshot wouldnt Format 2 new SD cards which I purchased specifically for the Soloshot per their websites recommendation. Lastly in order to get the unit to track correctly each time you "MUST" follow very specific steps or it just wont track you correctly. (Example: Unit must be stable so if placed on seating metal bleachers like most sports facilities just someone walking by may screw with the tracking.
@@JamisonGavin thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate all the info. Do you have a link to what those specific steps are there to make sure it tracks properly? As for the other issues I was thinking about formatting a SD card on a computer first and mounting on a tripod so not moving at all after setup hope that works.
@@hilltop7503 If you want footage of yourself or someone else but don't want to hold the camera I do recommend the SoloShot 3. I attempted to Format the card on 3 macbook pros and 5 PC's none of which worked. It may just be quirks but I attempted to format the card inside the SoloShot 3 about 30-40 times. I tilted it sideways on my desk and tried it another time and it just so happened to format successfully.
