Solve BMW E65 e66 has no aux audio input (optical fiber box of CDC simulator)

If your BMW E65 / e66 doesn't have an external audio input menu, you can't connect the audio of other devices to the car. If you change it to an Android screen, you can't get Android sound.
We connect the external sound into the car by simulating the CDC mode, but after that, your original CDC will not be able to use.
So you have to make sure that your original car has a CDC before you can do so.
Note:
If you purchased a PEMP Android screen, you need to use an audio cable to connect the "AUDIO OUT" of andrid harness to the audio input of the optical box!

If I have a damaged CD changer, can I replace it with this device? The menu has CDC options, but currently due to a measuring device failure it is grayed out. If I completely disconnect the changer and plug in this device, will I get an AUX input?

if your oem interface no the aux menu, you can not get the audio of the android screen, but you can buy this one get the android audio.

I have had this for a few months now and I can't get it to work consistently. Many times the CDC in unelectable on my I-Drive. I have to pull the 30 amp radio fuse in my trunk and re insert it. I have owned my 745Li for 10 years now and have never had any issues with my Logic 7 audio system. This issue started when I installed this device as per the directions. How do I resolve this issue to ensure that it works 100% of the time without having to pull my radio fuse?

I have the same problem with the CDC not able to select, although I connected the wire to acc+. Made no difference in my case. Can I check somehow if the fiber box is broken? I doubt it, because if I connect 12V and Most cables, the radio and everything apart from CDC works instantly. But CDC stays greyed out all the time :/

Hi, I tried two units from Amazon, and they both had the same issue: only the right channel works. I verified signal was coming out of the audio source on both channels. But only the red connector in the RCA of the box was passing sound. In other words if I only connect the white (left) connector there is no sound. If I connect both and use balance to listen to left channel there is no sound. I cannot believe two units are broken in the same way. I have an E66 US model from 2006.

I attach great importance to your question. If the two fiber boxes are in the same channel and have no sound, then we should suspect that it is a problem with the wiring harness or the playback device itself. Do I have to do any coding, because the car obviously doesn't show "AUX" at the moment. I saw a device for the E60 on your channel. Does this work then for my E65 as well or do i need something else?

Hi, I installed this fiber optic on my 03 745Li (e65) though my “enterprise” screen is different than the one in the video, I have the CD option with track 01but how can I get the aux to connect ?

Dear, 1. You need to connect the left and right sound (red and white plugs) on the optical box to the audio output of other devices. Look back at the beginning of the second minute and 50 seconds of the video. 2. Every time you use it, you need to select CDC in the OEM interface, and then select CD01, and it will output sound from your playback device. my 745i 2005 bmw does not have Bluetooth or aux, my car has the original host CD player, it does not have two CD players like in your video, your video shows the original host CD player than a CD player in front of the passenger side.. I only have one CD player in the center. Will I still be able to connect the optical fiber decoder to the android touch screen console ? Even if I have one original host CD player

If you can't find the CDC menu in your OEM display, you can't use the fiber optic box to get Android sound. Maybe you can only use an FM transmitter to fix the Android sound.
