[SOLVED] Does RSim work on iOS 12.3? If so, which RSim?

As shown in this video, RSim 14 works 100% on iOS 12.3. You are now forced to update to iOS 12.3, so if you still have RSim 12, it should work but if it does not and you tried all the steps in our main video for RSim 12 editing ( • NEW ICCID In Descripti... ), then please buy RSim 14. Make sure to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE so you get the notifications when we upload new videos like that for the cellular community.
Please NOTE... I tested this on an iPhone 6 using RSim 14 on iOS 12.3. Please let me know if you all find models that RSim 14 does not work on or other issues you run by so I can start making notes and letting more people know.

RSIM12 not working today for an iPhone 7 Plus and an iPhone X. The iPhone 7 Plus was unlocked with rsim 12 a week ago, but the user decided to switch to the iPhone X and reset their iPhone 7 Plus before we unlocked the iPhone X. Not able to unlock either now. Both on 12.2 iOS

Just figured out I am using RSIM 12 version 9.1 and I saw a successful unlock with RSIM 12 version 12.1. Probably old version of RSIM 12 is the problem. Ordered RSIM 14 now...

You're videos are helpful. This is my first time trying this. I want to get the rsim14 but my question is, the code that needs to be enter is the same code from rsim 12? o its a different code? if so, where can I find the code for rsim14?

No code at all. Rsim 14 runs its iccid programming automatically and from a constantly updated server. Thanks for the kind words and make sure to like and sub so you get all my details as new stuff like this comes out. Thanks again.

Hey I’m still on 12.1.4 and am still using rsim 13. My phone is an iPhone XS Max. My question is, which rsim do I need to update my phone to latest version without messing it up. Because it still works fine as long as I don’t update it. Also I wanted to ask if I put a different carrier SIM card in other than what I used with rsim 13, will it work or will it kick it out? Any help appreciated .

Thanks for these videos you put out recently! They were extremely helpful!! I have a Rsim 12 and downgraded to 12.2 (from 12.3) should I just buy a Rsim 14 if I want to update to the newer version of iOS or just wait it out? (I'm coming from traditional iPhones not the newer X styled ones)

Not sure to be honest. I am going to test an RSim 12 later today when at one of my other offices. I need to see once a phone is on 12.3, that once the downgrade is done and RSim 12 is applied, does it keep working if you update it to 12.3. Right now I would assume it would work as most everything with iPhones and RSims have always had a grandfathering in way of working. AKA if you get it working on 12.2, it will stay working on 12.3.

@@RSCats Test what out, the downgrade? Its in the video my friend. I started at 12.3, then downgraded, then unlocked, then upgraded back to 12.3.

@@cellularhelper7876 Hmm, in your video, you used a RSIM 14, but I was curious about the RSIM 12. Just curious if you were able to confirm that if you use a RSIM 12 with iOS 12.2 and then upgrade to iOS 12.3, it will still work right? Thanks again.

@@RSCats Yes you are right. I did though later confirm it on the same phone with an RSim 12 that it does work if you are on 12.3, downgrade, unlock, upgrade, profit lol.

I'm not sure if you can help me. I have an iPhone 6 on Total Wireless and iOS 12.3.1. I bought the RSIM 14 and installed it, but the phone doesn't recognize it. It just says "No SIM". I even tried the original Total Wireless SIM plus RSim and nothing. I'm not sure if I might have damaged my RSIM, or of there's a step or something that I'm missing. I'm positive that I installed the RSIM correctly.

Interesting. So rsim chips have different versions to the versions.

@@cellularhelper7876 yes , let's say you have an Rsim12 you can update it to Rsim14 but you will need an Rsim dongle adapter , is like a small sd card but for Rsims , that way you can update it on a computer

@@Leo-uy4qv I have never heard or seen of this. It doesnt make much sense for it either to be honest. Why bother doing that when the cost to make an RSim is pennies for China manufacturers to do.

I’m so stomped not even 100% what chip I have. But when I follow the normal steps for example doing emergency call & *5005 number I get a “ERROR PERFORMING REQUEST UNKOWN ERROR” why is that

The card is bad typically or could be older than an RSim 12. I get that from time to time as well and I just throw the chip away and buy another.

@@taivalentine9288 Shouldnt matter who you buy from on eBay. I personally never got into selling them since they go bad so often. RSim 14 at least seems to be a bit better than 12 but still is nowhere near good as 13 was (RIP RSim 13 lol).

I just received my rsim 12 to use on my T-Mobile carrier locked iPhone x and after many tries it shows up as "no Sim" when inserted. Any help on this would love to get this working I've been trying for months to get my phone unlocked.

Sadly No Sim means the RSim is bad and not working. Its so bad that its interrupting the normal function of the sim card to the phone. Return it and get another. Sorry for the bad news.

If you are unlocked right now and you update the phone, you should have no issues. If you do, then you will be back to getting another RSim, especially if the one you had done in 12.1 was RSim 13 (RSim 13 died as of iOS 12.2).

@@heri99394 It should, yes. I didnt make the RSim you are using nor the Apple software so I cant nor would I ever guarantee something like that, but it should work yes.

Both will work for you. Rsim 14 should be the easiest though.

Yes. Either buy RSim 14 or if you have RSim 12, you have to be at ios 12.2 but after you unlock it on ios 12.2 with RSim 12, update to ios 12.3 and you should still be working.

RSim 12 does NOT work on iOS 12.3. You have to be on iOS 12.2. Downgrade to 12.2 and then unlock with RSim 12, then upgrade to 12.3 and you will be g2g (good to go).

@@knivesoutlatino4518 activation error only happens on a phone that can NOT be unlocked with RSim chips like those from Tracfone or you are NOT on iOS 12.2

Perfect. Enjoy knowing that if you update to 12.3 you will still have a working Rsim 12. Nothing should change if you decide to update to 12.3. Just dont wipe the phone and dont take out your sim card and replace it with another one. Easiest thing to tell you is stay 12.2 unless you have a reason to update at all.

@@raghavendrachalla8050 get the battery checked out. If you go to Settings, then Battery, then Battery Health you should see how good the battery is or is not. The other thing also could be a very cheap screen used if you have the screen repaired.

Cellular helper : I am using with rsim12 but unable to send normal sms. Vodafone guys asked me to update sms centre number which is similar lo iccid changing process. If I do that, will my Rsim stop working !!
