Please note that cable number 3 is causing some issues as it tends to get loose or come out. To avoid any problems, kindly ensure that you clean the number 3 connector. Thank you for the video it deffinetly assisted me on my phones repair. I would have mentioned the importance of keeping track of the screws on the inside, "one is longer than the rest" and assuring the inside clamps are all in. it took 2 try

Thanks for the video. The only thing about it is the way youre taking the cables off is kinda risky. You never want to remove any flex cables with metal or steel screwdrivers, it is possible there can be a shortage and you can damage really small diodes so i would recommend using a plastic spudger. And screw organization is always a must. The screws underneath the metal plate for the screen have a specific order. The top right screw is not magnetic because the magnet screw can burn out your lcd and make it go blue. These are tips i got from my technician training.

Lines on the right side showed up after phone hit the floor. I did all you said...three times. Almost dropped dead for heart attack trying to put back little bracket on the touch button ribbon connector (iPhone SE have one). Lines were still there. Rebooted, turned off, put apart, cleaned again and magic happened... For less than 15 pounds I bought new digitizer. The day it came my SE was repaired in less than 10 minutes. I trained a lot ;p Don't drop your phones ;) If you do NEVER use force to take it apart. Take your time. It will save you money. Later your knowledge might profit. Helping others can be a full time job. Most comments are from people in need and they will pay for help. Easy Steps, thanks for the video. Your advice what, where, how and why didn't help straight away like most of us would wish but you pushed me to find the best solution. Good job and Happy New Year!

I'm having the same issue with my iPhone 5c (The vertical lines and unresponsive screen). I followed all steps and the screen is the exact same. I have tried cleaning cable #3 multiple times and nothing changed. All pins and solder joints are fine. The screen doesn't get any worse, but it doesn't get better. Any other suggestions?

That happened to me. What I did to fix it is I bought the screen and LCD for that phone and replaced that. It costs about $20 and it worked permanently. If you don't know how to do it there are a lot of videos online about it.

Hello My iphone5 screen is working but at one place in the horizontal line the touch is not working. For that particular line (the horizontal line in cross to the negative (-) volume button) touch is not working doesn't matter either its setting or any other app. Please suggest me that the same way which you have shown in video it will work for my iphone5. so it is not working again but even worse. I do think that that clip is the issue though so I was thinking about putting a piece of duct tape(i have no electrical tape) on top of the faulty clip so that when i screw down the plate it pushes down on the clip and holds it in place. do you think thatd work?

This thing: Bent leads or cracked solder joints. Can i fix that? If i apply pressure in the top part of my 5S the lines dissapear for 15 seconds. This started with 1 line, then 2 lines, and sometimes 3 lines. Well, can i fix that? How?

Hello! Thanks a lot for this tut. It's very clear. Unfortunately, it seems my iPhone is damaged further than a disconnected cable, as I'm trying and trying and can't get it fixed. I'm thinking of ordering a new screen, which is considerably cheaper... but I was wondering if anyone know what are the probabilities that it's the screen that's damaged and not the actual iPhone (i.e. the motherboard, etc.) Wouldn't want to spend on a screen just to find out I actually need to spend even more on a new iPhone. 😓

@@EasySteps_Sidhu - I tried it 3 times before I originally wrote this. On the third try I tested each cable as it was seated to make sure it was secure. My phone fell on a concrete floor at Whole Foods and my screen didn't crack; I can only imagine that the impact was so great that the thing is ruined.

Try this by pressing with thumb at the cable location and see if the lines get disappeared, (please don't open the phone). If you don't see any difference then your screen has gone bad or if you see no more lines then your connection are loose. Hope it helps.

this happened to me about a week ago, i haven't fixed it yet but after watching this video i'm convinced, i have one question tho, the vertical b&w lines are on my phone exactly how it looks in this video but when i turn it off and back on my phone screen turns purple with a lot of faded colorful lines in the background, then slowly turns into the black and white vertical lines. is this the same problem or do u think i need to get my LCD replaced? my phone isnt cracked anywhere its in perfect condition, just the screen is messed up like this & the touch screen doesn't work at all, i have to power it off/on by holding down the home & power button

after a battery replacement this happened to me too so i unplugged the battery and then the lcd connectors and cleaned them using ESD safe brush and now it works fine and btw it works on iphone se

i had the stripes problem for my Iphone SE but it was still responsive for the touch, just fixed it by adjusting the screen brightness to maximum & play some videos or view pictures that are in brighter color, the stripes will be gone in 10 to 20 min. But this only last for 3 to 5 days, the stripes came back again, however it can still be fixed by the same method again. No screwdriver or restoring needed, but it is still advisable to fix it at the authorized shop if the warranty still valid.

Followed the steps perfectly. Unfortunately my problem still remains. Still have the lines and no response on the touch screen :( Do you know what else it could be or should I just pay some people to put a new screen in? I though I would try this way first as it was only $5 for the tools. The screen will be much more expensive. I also think the place I got my screen fixed the first time was not a genuine screen and maybe faulty ribbon cables or something. How to tell if a screen is genuine?

Actually the edge of the screens have a very sensitive ic controller which cracks when dropped or battery hot expansion.......not fixable according to techs at phone shop.......replaced 2 screens in last 2 months and am going android. Tired of Apple overpriced un expandable Chinese $100 to make junk.

Videos great . By the way its possible work on my GoPro Hero 5 like the issue. ? Gopro history : i used the gropro under water then after a few days , have memory card error. then i try to open it again , then i found like that problems. Can you suggest it to me how i fix it. ?

Your a g it totally worked however when I tried to put it back together with that metal cover it wouldn't work by the time I had the screen in but I left it out and it works like a charm
