DUDE. I'm not joking. GOD BLESS YOU. You have no idea for how long I've been looking for a solution on this problem... Thanks a lot. You deserve a Statue, a street, an avenue, even a city with your name. Thanks a lot again.
Still helpful 4 years later. Thanks man. Ive seen this a few times over the years, I knew there was a work around for it. So I knew to just hop on and look before burning hours of time and patients lol Definitely sticking that little app in my utilities folder for future incidents.
For anyone who might be having issues with this solution: I had this issue and in the end it turned out that it was due to the USB 3.0 Port. I was using an External USB HDD on the USB 3.0 port for installing Win7, so the utility tool didn't recognize it. Using the USB 2.0 Port solve the issue without having to do anything else.
I love you. Been working on this for hours. A lot of time spent trying to modify the Boot.Wim and Install.wim files using DSIM GUI utility. Wasn't working well and a bit of manual work. However I was watching the Gigbyte utility and noticed that it was doing the same thing on its own! So this is an automated SDIM GUI. Beautiful.
Same here, was trying to do it manually, was a bit hard, when i saw this running, i thought, great, it's doing it automatically, and it worked! Thanks a bunch brother!!!
Same, @EasyTechs I had wasted half a day just to figure out stuff myself, this solved my problem with 30 mins, thank you for helping me downgrading from win10 to win7!
I have burned a Windows 7 usb and used this Gigabyte tool to inject the needed USB and SSD drivers HOWEVER... when I try to install any Windows 7 64-bit version, the Intel storage drivers are not recognized! I have to manually insert another USB with the same Intel drivers, and when I try to install those same drivers, windows gives me an error message saying: "To continue installation, use the Load Drivers option to install 32-bit and signed 64-bit drivers. Installing an unsigned 64-bit driver is unsupported etc. etc. etc.." I have disabled signature enforcement, but nothing has changed. Windows 7 setup will allow me to install windows 7 32-bit using 32-bit drivers, but I need to install a 64-bit version!! I am stuck and have no idea what to do. Intel storage drivers (IaNVMe.sys and IaNVMeF.sys) are on the .iso image, but are not being recognized after being mounted by the tool and when in installation setup. These drivers are signed too. I spent days trying to figure out the problem, and I am about to pull my hair out! Any help would be greatly appreciated !!! I am trying to install Windows 7 64-bit version on a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon 5th generation Skylake model. Thank you :)
EXCELLENT!! Finally a tutorial that actually solves the issue. Thank you. note: if you do this, be sure to have a copy of the drivers in the laptop´s HD on some partition, since once you finish installing windows 7 your usb will not work until you install the proprer drivers so you wont be able to use an usb device to install the drivers
if you are getting the "Failed to add drivers to an Offline Windows Image" change the directory of the gigabyte installer to something simple like C:/ (copy paste the folder). Apparently if the install folder is too deep in a directory it has issues (possible character limit).
For those looking for a solution to the Gigabyte tool failing while trying to install Win7 on a Ryzen machine, this worked for me: Open the location containing the Gigabyte USB tool. Right click on each file and select "Properties", then click "Unblock". You have to open each folder and do EVERY file! Takes about 30 minutes and then the tool works. It took me a month to find this info in a blog post. Hopefully this will save someone what I went through. And by the way, Gigabyte e-support is useless! Their reply to my ticket saying the tool fails ( I included a screenshot showing that), was that the tool works. Pityful! My System info: Mobo: Gigabyte B450 AORUS PRO WIFI Video Card: AORUS Radeon RX580 8G Chip: Ryzen5 2600 OS: Win 7 64-bit SP 1 DVD Ram: 16gb Corsair CMK16GX4M2B HD: 500gb Samsung EVO SSD
Use a tool to make a bootable USB first , Rufus , universal USB installer, windows media creation tool etc wait for it to complete and double check it copied successfully if still no luck try another USB stick/pendrive hope you have some luck 🤞
OMG Man. I have been dealing with this nightmare install for days. First couldn't get keyboard / mouse to work and had to get a ps/2 keyboard. Then when I can finally click next this crap popped up. Thank you SO much man. I tried everything I could find online and this tower almost went out the window.
Hi, THANKS SO MUCH for the clear and quick tutorial, I was having trouble loading a USB version of Win 7 Pro 64-bit on a Dell Optiplex 3040 Micro, and this allowed me to install it. For the benefit of those with the same computer, I used the following version of the driver: B16.1102.1 Dated November 2, 2016. (I am a diehard Windows 7 Pro guy and still run Win7P on all my computers, even here in 2023... still the BOSE (Best Operating System Ever) imho...
MikK Channel i did with dell latitude 7280. It works perfectly. Now I completed win7 installation. Actually I need a win7 pc for my special task. Some tools are compatible only with win7. Tool developers are working for windows 10 platform. Till that time I need to use win7. Anyway ur video helped well. Thanks Bro Rabeeh Dubai
What Did You Say About, Did You Call It A "Bootable USB Flashstick"? With Windows Installation Files? Is That Something I Need To Buy First? Or How Do You Get A "Bootable USB Flashstick" With Windows Installation Files Already In It??? Then Throughout This Video You Seem To Insert The "Flash Stick" 3 Times. At The Beginning, Before You Turn On The PC. Then Again, But It's NEVER CLARIFIED When It Is Removed. Then Again, To Insert It, After Files Are Extracted, But Not When To Remove It, Because Then Again, You Say To Insert The "Flash Stick" Yet Again??? Please Make This Video User Friendly By Explaining/Clarifying At Which Points You Insert And Remove The "Flash Stick" "Flash Drive" Whatever, Please.

Legend! Thank you so much! This helped my in 2024 to install Win 7 on an older system with a new SSD. I'm guessing the offline installer didn't have native support for SSD at the time.
I have a Windows 7 Installation CD. Tried to remove my windows 10 version deleting ALL partitions during my installation. After I restarted the pc, the startmenu didnt show anymore. Then I tried to REINSTALL with the WINDOWS 7 Version. Unfortunately, the screen a CD DVD Drive Device Driver is missing. Is your way also applicable when I ONLY have my Windows 7 Installation CD? Thanks in advance!
Thank you 👍 always used a DVD or another image already patched. Creating a fresh USB finally worked using Universal USB Installer and the gigabyte tool many thanks
Bakwaas Solution.......... Windows is not installed. How can u copy driver on desktop....... U can download USB driver directly if your windows is installed.........
The file was removed from the Gigabyte support site, but with a quick Google search it was found, Running installation now, hope it works. Thanks for the info!

Thank you for this, I have the same error with Windows Vista, attempting to install a specified Home Premium version via USB, then given the missing driver message so I tried a different iso, Ultimate, and the same missing driver error again, then I found this video. The installation works as it should. 🙂

The Gigabyte download & install did not help at all...But something you mentioned as a possible fix that was suggested to you by another was my fix. Moved USB stick from a 3.0 port to a 2.0 port. Problem solved! Thank you! Side Note: Took about 40 minutes to complete Gig install and saw another mention it took him 2+ hours. In other words, be patient for it to complete. Depending on your system will determine how long it will take.
When I try to install windows 7 64 bit on HP 625 laptop with Intel Celeron T3000 processor the OS start loading from bootable DVD-R, but when it shows the black screen with "Starting Windows" text and I see the windows graphic colors icon, then suddenly the laptop turns off and I have to start all over again with the same result. I tried with bootable USB stick with Windows 7 32 bit on it, but with the same result. The installation process can't continue.
Fantastic TRUE solution! It worked like a charm for me, the link to the WindowsImage Tool was the solution! Thank you very much for this... i have seen the other silly ideas about changing USB port that makes no sense at all. Now my laptop is up and running! I just wish i was as smart as you are, who dig into problems and find the easy solution to difficult issues! 🙂
This swapping usb ports doesn't work on my HP 15-ay010ca ... I'm thinking it's because this unit DOES NOT have a cd/DVD drive in it ? Also the link you provided no longer has the windows usb install tool anymore and cannot find it anywhere on the web ... it has been scrubbed !
Here is the answer to all your problems installing Windows 7. Windows 7 will not be supported anymore by Microsoft just like Windows XP before. And newly released cpu's and motherboards also do not allow Windows 7 installation. Most probabaly you will get a BSOD or blue screen error message. To solve your problem, install Windows 10.
Thanks for this. I had used the MSI tool for an MSI board and for some reason still got this error but using both the MSI and gigabyte together finally worked!
If hdd already reset, not have any windows. That's mean my laptop is offiline. So, what can i do. If my laptop is Open with any window then definitely i will download & Install "win usb installation tool" As mh pc totally already hard reset, no need setup but showing this problem. Hello bro, my laptop is asus x54c. The problem is I unable to open my laptop because it's asking me to boot it up. So now I am trying to install the new version of window 7 process but I couldn't to that because it's saying that the drivers are missing. Is that possible to copy the drives in CD or pendrive to install the window 7. Can you give me the clear picture regarding that bro please...
Hi I have an Lenovo L440 with no CD drive with Ubuntu 16.04.1 installed. I have made all the steps described here but I was not able to get rid of this error code So on my laptop the problem is still there. Any help will be highly appreciated.
Wow... I just used the second option and it worked. I changed the USB port to another port of the system and behold it worked! Thanks so much... But I'm downloading the zip file anyway... Just incase other chipset don't work out...
still not work for me.. I don't understand why.. My motherboard is Gigabyte Aorus B460.. try what you told, but the box "A Required CD-DVD Drive Device Driver is Missing" still shown

Plugging the usb drive to another usb port worked for me. I have a computer with a usb 3 port (my computer one of the first laptops to have a usb 3 back then maybe something wrong with usb 3 back then) i plugged it to a usb 2 and it worked. Of course i have to close the window to go back to the screen that has the button "Install now" and click it again
let me try this method and get back to you... you wouldn't happen to know how to update troubleshooter and then use a USB to continue to update my other pc which started out with bsod unmountable boot volume error and after several other methods I finally came so far as this stage and see if your method can make the process proceed... both USB drive driver missing and update troubleshooter
can this methode work for windows server 2008 R2 ? i stack after OS installation on dell vostro 3670 with usb3.0 port, no keyboard and mouse working, i can't login to computer ;( .
