This is a teacher that does not play on their phone is class, read emails or talk to their friend. This is a teacher that deserves a raise and should get the best job offers. Edit: This is one of the best resources I have during this pandemic that I will use this all thru high school. Brian McLogan deserves a pay raise.

@@adamhajek1724 if one of ur y variables r negative, multiply by a positive number so u still have that negative. C how he multiplied 2x + 3y = 7 by -4, u multiply it by 4 positive.
I am in an online class in college and I completely disregard the book and the lectures because this makes so much more sense. I wouldn't even be-able to pass my tests with the information the online material gives me. I seriously think they left a bunch of stuff out to solve the problems. So I just go to you tube and this is the first stop in searching you. 95% of the time this channel answers my question in less than ten minutes. Thanks!

Whoever has this guy as a teacher is lucky, he actually teaches and I understand...My teacher just gives us the work after telling us what we’re doing...Doesn’t explain how to solve it or anything

I have always struggled with systems of equations, but you videos are so well explained and simple to understand. Once again, you saved my life. In school my teacher taught me this and i didn't understand. I only knew how to do substition method and it took me about an hour to understand. In school, I spent around an hour learning this but couldn't understand. Everyone knew except me. I searched how to to do and I found you. I finally learnt how to do elimination and substition method. Thank you very much for helping me.

Im an adult learner who graduated from high school 8 years ago and recently registered in college, I had a big problem with mathematics since I forgot most of it. I depend a lot on tour videos to understand. this was truly clear to understand as I have a final test next way, I can't thank you enough

oh my god this afternoon in a 70 minute class i was literally stuck on this topic and i couldn't understand from my maths teacher. Thank you so much for these videos because I am 2 grades ahead of where I'm suppose to be and was not getting equations or system of equations and the things that you taught me in 4 minutes taught me what the other people in my class took 1 month so I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart from bringing my grade from a c to an a.
this is absolutely why i DESPISE calculus/algebra with deep unmatched passion. not only is it a migraine inducing utterly useless in real life thing, this guy went the absolute long way to solve for x and y. without doing all that cancelling dividing adding bull i just did it all in my head by asking myself what number multiplied to 3 would give me 6 and since i already know my total is 10, i now know i just need a number that when multiplied by 4 is gonna give me 4 again which is 1. simple, quick and hassle/headache free. calculus/algebra simply suck. those courses are needlessly required and lower college gpa's for NO reason
Hi, im a bit late but here is the solution. Our Lowest Common Multiple is -30 (bc -3 and 10 ) Lets apply it to both sides: -3(10y-7x=2) -10(-3y+5x=11) * now here, I just rearranged the equation so the variables line up for us better. -10 bc we need to put a negative in somewhere right?* now factor, -30y+21x=-6 +30y-50x= -110 ---------------------------------------------------- -29x= -116 now divide both sides by -29 so -29x/-29 = x and -116/-29= 4 meaning our x=4 Lets find y now that we have our x value: put the value of x into one of the two equations, I chose 10y-7x=2. that will become: 10y-7(4)=2 which then turns into 10y-28=2, lets add 28 on both sides to cancel out our -28 ( so positive 28 on both sides) 10y-28=2 +28 +28 ------------------------------ 10y=30 now taking this, we divide by 10 on both sides, ------ ----- 10 10 Our Y is now alone !!! yesss and we are left with y=3 SOLUTION: (4,3) CHECKING: 10(3)-7(4)=2 and -3(3)+5(4)=11 30-28=2 -9+20=11 2=2 (YASS) 11=11 (YASSSSS) Conclusion: typing mathematics like this is difficult ahahah hope that helped!

Can you do a video on using linear equations to solve word problems with the two different companies. ie) Company A charges flat rate + per hour, while company b charges flat rate and so and so. These questions I've been getting a lot and I dont know how to do them pls help me asap.
