I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

Tip for a low buy: when I get the urge to buy something new, I organize my makeup collection. This reminds me of everything I have and sometimes I need to declutter items because they are too old and expired. Nothing stops me from buying new makeup like the guilt from having to throw away spoiled makeup.
@leneskov5184

Or the guilt of looking at those last items you bought and knowing they are pretty similar colors to what you already own, meaning you didn’t need them, or the guilt that you don’t love those new items more than what you already own.

I have a list of things that I cal “Wanted”… I keep all non-essentials buying urges on this list. Not only the name, but the picture and price. I allow myself to buy anything from the list, but there are three conditions: 1. The product must be in the list for at least a month; 2. The product must fit into the disposable money in my monthly budget - if it doesn’t, then I need to wait additional months until I have enough money to make the purchase and 3. I can only buy one product from my list every month - if the cost of the chosen product is lower than my available disposable money for the month, I allow myself to save the difference for next month (then I can buy something more expensive from my list) I have two exceptions: my birthday and another date that I choose (could be when I finish a project or if I have a special event to attend). In those two occasions I can buy myself a gift - but it must be from the list and have been there for at list 30 days 😂 This way it feels like a game I play and waiting is interesting - for me, that is 😊

Wearing a highlighter under my blusher works great for me and buffing with a finishing powder to kinda "mesh" everything together is a great way of defusing/blurring bronzer/highlighter/blusher. Having used a Q tip near the inner corner of the eye, all I will say is, proceed with caution!! As the cotton wool tip unfurls, minute fibres can come off and go into the eye! Lots of love 🤍💗🤍💗🤍

Tip for figuring out lip color: consider using your blush or eyeshadow on your lips first to see what kinds of colors you believe works on you. Once you think you have a hue or color story down then invest in a lip product in that color. This could save a lot of money and clutter. I often use the red cream blush in the ND bloom palette as a lip stain, it works amazingly well and then I top with a gloss. The stain lasts for hours and it wears off evenly. :)

I love these videos of yours, especially the ones to discourage from purchasing. Thus said, I have realized with time that I do not want to keep scrubbing and adding lines to my eye area while trying to remove makeup every evening. Hence, the less use of application. I keep telling myself that I have similar colors every time there is a new collection that comes out. I immediately open my stash and see what I can put together to have the same end result. I would like to keep my money in my pocket and perhaps do a nice renovation to my house. Also, I am extremely annoyed lately at brands who make their product sizes larger and larger. Stacking vertically is a great idea.. but, I do not have place in my small vanity, and organization is hard when you already have a system in place. Anything big in size, I don't buy. Period. Again, thank you for the great videos! I don't watch them as they come out, but I put them all in order and binge watch at the end of the week. 😁😁😁😁💕💕

Hi there! I love having smaller items vs the big giant containers, too. In case you happen to use Chanel, they've recently launched some travel sizes of a few of their products (bronzer, water skin tint, and one or 2 others), and thought you might be interested in knowing that. Have a great day!
@AllyKit
@AllyKit Год назад
Same! Some people rage against a brand for producing smaller makeup (for instance the new Armani blushes) but I rarely pan anything so I appreciate smaller sized makeup! If it doesn't fit in my vanity - especially my top drawer - it's not coming home with me.

I apply foundation and concealer with a brush. Then if I am using any liquid or cream products, I'll apply those. Then before I go in with any powder products, I use setting spray, let it dry about 50% of the way, then tap/bounce it in with a damp (very squeezed out) beauty sponge. This helps those cream and liquid products melt together into the skin and helps make sure any excess product isn't sinking into lines or creases before powdering.

Tip for low buy, which I am aiming to maintain. I look at what I own in that category to see if I am filling a gap in my collection or if I already have another brand"s version of the same thing. I've stopped myself from buying at least two new releases of dusty rose blush in the past month this way. If I still want it anyway, I add it to my wish list instead of my cart. Then I know it will be waiting for me when I actually need a replacement.

I have deep set eyes: for the cut crease, you bring the cut up higher than the mobile lid and make the liner line a bit thicker if it gives you too much lid. As for darker shadows, it can make deep set eyes look like two holes, so add a bit of sparkle (topper, liner, etc) close to the lashes in the center of the eye to bring the center ‘more forward’

Low buy tip: I just started the process of getting really organized; having all the bronzers, blushes, etc. in one place, this has been really helpful. It’s hard to justify a new foundation when you already have too many. I’ll leave it to an individual as to what ‘too many’ is. I have no problem throwing out old makeup that’s gone off, but it does make me think twice about adding cream and liquids in.
@twoleftfeet9626
@twoleftfeet9626 Год назад
If foundation won't stay on your nose, spray some fixing spray or hairspray onto a DRY beauty blender and pat onto your nose before (allow to dry) and after applying foundation. Do NOT put any primer on your nose. If you do this, foundation will not move. Mine would break up/slip off within an hour before I started doing this

I went totally opposite way - from a a-tip to folded tissue😊. Q-tip sometimes leaves a tiny piece of fiber on the lushes and make up on that eye get finally ruined completely, because I would not stop digging in the eye trying to get rid of that fiber😂

The It Cosmetics bye bye under eye concealer is the most budge and waterproof concealer I have ever tried. A little goes a very long way but I discovered how waterproof it is when my mama passed away in March. I was a mess, but my makeup stayed put! A tubing mascara took care of what would have been a mascara disaster. My mama was a very glamorous woman and her makeup was always impeccable, it was a thing we shared, and I was happy that my makeup still looked good even in grief because she would have been proud of that (if that makes sense, grief is weird).

I have issues with watery eyes due to dry eyes and eye strain. I use eye ointment before bed and then eye gel in the morning to help, but usually I avoid mascara as I find that for some reason I am prone to eye infections . I use a light coverage concealer and powder foundation, as a powder is easy to touch up if your makeup gets messed up, and also it's less noticeable if a light coverage concealer gets messed up compared to a full coverage one. I was also recommended those dry eye bag masks but I find them a pain to use
@BlingyBea
@BlingyBea Год назад
If I may ask what kind of eye infections do you deal with? My Opthamologist told me to use an eye mask every morning and before going to bed, you have to microwave it for around 30 seconds, it helps my dry eyes.

@@lavayuki I just started getting a stye on my lower or sometimes upper lash line, my Dr said my oil glands around the eyelids get blocked and the warm compress help to get the oil out. Mine is not contagious but the bacteria could cause another stye, geez I’ve never had this problem and I’m 69 and love to wear makeup.🙏🏻❤️
@lavayuki
@lavayuki Год назад
@@BlingyBea Yeah that is true, styes are difficult to get rid off. I know some people get them removed by the ophthalmologist where they drain it, but I think they only do that if it becomes painful etc. I find mascara to be the biggest culprit of eye infections, compared to eye shadows. I use a makeup disinfectant spray, you can spray it on eyeshadows and cream products, I got it off amazon.

The girl that wants to use the CT Light Wonder and they dont have their shade... BUY pigment drops. Cover FX has some in great undertones that dont affect the formula, and save me DAILY! And for watery eyes, make SURE your not using anything with fragrance around the eyes if possible, and minimize how much product you put directly around the eyes. I used to have this same problem daily, and realized when I stopped using a certain sunscreen (murad with Vit-C) and changed up which concealer, and how much setting powder I was using, IN ADDITION to using my Lumify drops, (DAILY) all of these things have almost stopped it completely! Sometimes I forget and reach for these products, and I pay the price, unfortunatly though. 😭 You really have to figure out what works best around sensitive eyes. And a "Low Buy?" Watch Charlotte's "You dont need ANY of that!" Series. You can apply thise concepts to ANY new products really. ALSO play that tape out in your mind ALLLL the way, Ok, you get it, its shiny and new and you cant wait to swatch it and wear it for the first time, BUT THEN WHAT!? It will MOST likely end up cluttered in a drawer where you will forget you even have it, and even forget to use it/reach for it, so essentially youll pay all this money to clutter your drawers with more stuff you dont need! If I am not GAGA over something these days, I dont get it, my collection is too big, and things are too expensive for me to be buying multiple of the same product, over and over again, just in different packaging.

I hope you didn't throw it out! Because that compact is convex, you will have to use a different compact or buy one online, but you can definitely save broken powder products with alcohol. Use a makeup spatula tool to get the powder into place in the pan, then add a little alcohol at a time until it sticks together. Leave the compact open overnight. The alcohol will evaporate. I know this works on blushes and eyeshadows. Hopefully the formula of the powder will be just as good. You can find videos how to do it here on YT.

To the person who asked about problems with watery eyes….I bet the person has watery eyes because she/he puts peptide eye creams under his/her eyes. I dunno what it is about peptides making my eyes watery, if they make my tear duct over produce or what, but that makes my eyes water like crazy. Same thing happens with caffeine in my eye products too! So I’d say to that person, don’t put peptide or caffeine eye products around the eyes
