I have only been collecting dolls for the last year or so, and it has been an amazing experience for me. My dolls bring me such joy. I love making clothes for them, customizing them, and loving the creative immersion. I adore your sharing your dolls with us. Anxiety is real, and intrusive and consuming of the happiness that could exist in all of us . After this past year - if you don’t have some form of anxiety- you must be super human ! I was off work today, so I cleaned my doll room, did some boil washes on dolls with crazy hair , created a “ donate “ bin of dolls that I have no use for and a “ sell” pile for Mecari . This is all in preparation for the onslaught of dolls from Barbie and MGA . What have I learned as a collector? You don’t need to buy every doll from every wave - just buy the ones you love ! I hope you are happy and safe - be extra good to yourselves ... you deserve it !
I've been going through a bad bought of anxiety, I'm switching up medications for my panic disorder and nerve pain (thank you sjögrens disease) I've been dressing my dolls and doing their hair and it's really calming. I love my na na na dolls, they're so soft and snuggly. And I love my rainbow high girls, I love trying out new looks on them. I love this channel so so so much. BTW. I apologize I didn't find you until fall of 2014. After SSDI retirement because of my MS and I no longer recognized the Doll industry. So much had changed. And 4 years of every doll msgszine from 2002 and on was destroyed in water leaking into 3rd floor and attic space, while reroofing was in progress. 🤔😭😦 but watching your love of dolls and as a MS adult making doll collecting acceptable, I was thrilled to find you.. and your family..

My favorite barbie i had growing up was Hollywood nails barbie. I loved her and I am determined to get her again someday. I have my fair lady Audrey Hepburn Barbie . I might have told you earlier I had Frank Sinatra ken and 7-year ich, Marlyn Monroe Barbie . My mom owns the Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra Barbie and that is rare.
Last year I finally bought my ultimate grail doll, Fashion Photo PJ. It was by far the most I've ever spent on a doll, but because 2020 was such a dumpster fire I convinced myself I should treat myself lol. And I don't regret it! Not a day goes by that just admiring her in the box doesn't make me smile and calm me down.
She is a holy grail doll for sure! I was lucky enough to find her on Ebay. Mine is not in the box but she is complete and in wonderful condition. We gotta treat ourselves once in awhile 🙂🙂!

I'm 42 and a long time ago my dad sold my SINDY dolls. :/ I loved playing with them so much, My daughter is 3 and I can't wait to introduce her to Barbie Dolls. But I wonder who will play with them more. LOL
In reality Tokidoki has a Japanese name, but it was created in Italy, by a guy called Simone Legno. Maybe there are some shops in Japan; I know that here in Italy we don't have many shops that sells these products, most the times we have to buy them on the net. The Barbie you have is cute, but I prefer the purple one. Wow, you are very lucky to have the Puma one, I saw the prices on Ebay and...oh my gosh!

She’s the only Barbie that has ever had a smirk on her face. So odd and wonderfully hilarious. I’d love to have some of the Dia de los Muertos dolls. I’d like the new Barbie Extra - the one with stark white hair and these light blue fur boots. But I think she comes in a 5 pack with other extra dolls.

My interest in Barbie's has sprung to life again recently. I began collecting them when my kids were in their early teens, now I have two grand daughters! I have 2 of the pink Toki Doki Barbie's , one is my youngest daughter's (she is the mom to my grand daughters) and the other I found in a thrift store. Her clothes were gone but she had her shoes and I put her in the Care Bear skirt and shirt fashion, with the shirt sleeves folded down so you can see her tatoos. I also bought the Rainbow Leopard Print Barbie after seeing her on your channel. She is SO pretty. I am a color freak anyway!! Today, I saw another Barbie on another You Tube channel (Sue's Barbie Love) that I would LOVE to have. She is a reproduction of a doll that never existed. You probably know of her. Most Mod Party Becky...her idea was developed in 1971 but they didn't produce her till 2008 and I didn't know about her til today! Mercy!! She has a Casey face mold and is cute and appealing, made collector style and $119 on ebay... Anyway, I am enjoying your channel, as a fellow doll lover and mom of an adult lesbian daughter. I also struggle with anxiety at times, lately at work! It's nice to know we are not alone!
Ohhhhhh....Most Mod Party Becky is in a book somewhere I read about Barbie. I don't collect much from that ear (even though she's technically newish), but she's very unique! So glad you are enjoying collecting. It's such a great hobby!
My Nanny just gave me the best gift a few days ago. Before I was born my aunt passed away. My aunt collected the holiday barbies. My Nanny gave me all of her holiday barbies from the first one in 1988 to 1999. I now have every holiday barbie from 1988 to 2015.
My Barbie grail is the first Tokidoki one they made with the pink bob hairstyle and the green cactus pup. She wasn't sold in Australia so i tried to save up and get her from ebay. In only two weeks, she went from $50 to $500 and no way could i afford her. Am not really a Barbie collector. I only have the Star Wars stormtrooper one and she's still in her box.
I like all of those Barbies! I really like the Fashion Fever dolls from the early 2000’s. Do you have any of those? They came in like a tube, I have a few of them. The quality and fashions were so much better. I really like the Barbie Look doll you showed. Her dress is awesome 😃.

Wow!! Can't believe you to the Purple one at a reasonable price! The in or out of box decision is totally based on my gut. If I really just love the way they look in box, they stay that way. I don't have a science to it. But the boxes are probably the biggest reason for me having to rotate the collection. They take up soooo much shelf space!
Not a huge Barbie collector, but my holy grail collector barbies are any of the hard rock cafe dolls, and the one that's a zombie bride. Dolls are literally so therapeutic and make me so happy like I can't explain it

I know what you mean about the doll therapy. Since the pandemic, I will also make outfits from my scrap bins...yes plural. For one reason or other, I have a lot of scraps. When I make an outfit and use up some scrap, I feel so productive.

Hi, not offended at all. We all have our own tastes. I actually like the disorganized, eclectic look of mixing the dolls up. It feels more organic to me. But I do appreciate that you took the time to suggest something else
