I see insecurity, if it makes you feel bad it’s because “they *made* me feel bad”, it’s classic I know you are but what am I projection, that self centered reaction where “they’re doing something that draws my attention” becomes “they’re doing it TO draw my attention”, like how when a bigot encounteres someone they don’t like it becomes a *them* problem for being noticable, shifting all the blame because the critique to their competency and having to actually own up and change is too much for them to handle. It’s such a massive source of shame that it was pointed out, that it *must* have been done to personally make them feel shame right, any justification comes after the fact to explain why they feel bad, the safe answer is that they did everything right which must mean someone else did something wrong (conveniently removing any reason for introspection or taking accountability). It’s the response of someone with no self confidence, “I meant to do everything right therefore anything wrong is not my fault!” belies massive insecurity, any critique gets dismissed because self reflection is too scary to handle, far far from what a confident person would do

There’s a small chain called Javier’s and the small restaurant we go to is basically run by Latin middle aged women/grandmothers. My younger sister learned Spanish while in elementary school and up, so when they see her they just melt because she likes to talk to them. I’m so proud, and awkward cuz then I’m like “gracias!” And it’s all I can say!😂😅 They make the best damn Mexican food, just big plates of deliciousness.😋

Have these people ever watched one of Chef Ramsay's shows? Did they expect to get compliments and new customers with a filthy kitchen and spoiled food? These people are clueless.

Because the producers tell them to act this way. Who tf would watch this show if the owners all just nodded their head in agreement? It's reality TV. They have him go in, revamp the place with new equipment and other things, so when they sell it a few months down the road, the owners get a larger payout to help them cover the debts.

@@etaoin-shrdlu It was like burnt leather on the bottom, and mushy and oily on the top. Flavor was good though, pretty good for a TV dinner 😆. I just had to try it, I also tried his Lasagna, and mushroom risotto. The risotto was disgusting 1/10, never again.

Gordon understands well the patience and palettes of different cultures. He knows you have to go simpler for Americans to get it to the table in 15 minutes. You can see him adapting his standards between the British and American versions.

I feel like most places even in America also pretty much take that long.
