Magic burst can't actually be reflected, the hitbox from Tetrakarn's counter just knocked hero out of it.

It's weird because relfectors break after the 6th or 7th reflection, but additionally some projectiles like hero's have distance dependence where he could win or lose simply by varying the distance between him and his opponent

Ganondorf barely made it into SSBM to begin with. He only made it in cuz his build was similar to Captain Falcon Bayonetta, King Dedede, & Mr Game & Watch gained reflectors in SSBU when they didn’t have it before, so it may be possible for Ganondorf to gain one in the next Smash. In Tekken 7’s story mode there was a scene where Heihachi kicks a missile away m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HrbpmoKdcck.html It happens at 2:04. Sakurai clearly saw such a ridiculous feat and gave the property of kicking away a projectile to his son.

@@Sjono he had 3 games to give ganondorf his own move set after melee & this could’ve been perfect for ganomdorf. I still like him how He is but nothing represent his game he came from except his sword. Even Mario, Luigi & some Pokémon could use a new move set I see now, I was wrong bout kazuya

If you’re asking about Min Min, that’s what she does in Arms. If you’re asking for why Kazuya can do it, there’s various reasons 1.) It’s based on a ridiculous cutscene in Tekken 7’s story where Heihachi(his father) kicks a missile(ie a projectile) away. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HrbpmoKdcck.html 2.) Kazuya has a frame 7 jump squat compared to everyone else’s frame 3 jump squat. He also has the second lowest jump squat in the entire roster only ahead of Steve. He can’t jump over projectiles as effectively as the rest of the cast without resorting to a slow double jump or up special. Having the most powerful reflector compensates for it.

I literally noticed this instantly. It was clearly Tetrakarn which means Magic Burst is coded as a Normal Hit Box instead of a projectile. That i didn't know. It really should be in a Counter video instead of reflect if we wanna nitpick.

FACTS. I can understand if it was a random clip put in the video but it's the fact that it was the thumbnail that kinda makes me mad

Some counters also double as a reflector, like Palutena, but not sure which clip you are referring to.

@@ZedNebuloid King K Rool and Sora are the only characters who can reflect and counter at the same time Palutena and Joker only do counter or reflect at any given time, not both at the same time. Joker is using a counter against the Magic Burst in the thumbnail, not a reflect

​@@Sjonoyeah, but already has quite a lot of command inputs including zappy whooshy deity knuckles, so for something in reference to a cutscene, it shouldn't be a reflector with a 2.4x multiplier. kazuya got rage drive and more command inputs than even Ken & Ryu; a reflector with the highest multiplier is a bit much, no?

Considering command inputs are harder to pull off than specials or up/side smash attacks it be more powerful. You also have to be on the ground, dash forward a bit and the time it’s acting as a reflector is very short. With so many stipulations to pull of the move, especially in comparison to every other reflector, the reward more than makes up for it. In addition to all that, Kazuya’s jump squat is the second lowest in the entire game, only coming ahead of Steve’s who can place blocks anywhere to control the field to compensate for that. And Kazuya’s jump squat comes out at frame 7 while everyone else’s is at frame 3. This means that Kazuya is in a unique position where it’s more difficult for him compared to everyone else to simply jump over most projectiles on reaction without wasting his slow double jump or up special. LSK’s reflective properties is a way to compensate for that. Sure Kazuya can crouch dash to phase through some projectiles, but being known as the one with the strongest reflector forces respect from characters that otherwise might not give it to him
