Yes, because that is such a unique look… Unless you’re molding your own body kits. It’s someone else’s taste in cars that pure purchasing and putting on. 😂😂😂
e30 would be great to see! and even for a non m car they handle good stock, it’s also about looking at what you’d do for a swap into it since you didn’t to care for the s50/52
You gotta sling that beauty through some canyon roads to really experience it! Test drive an E30 with an M20, M5X, or S5X that has been turbocharged and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Maybe too much to ask but 2 things. 1) can we get one of these videos with one of Randy’s SLAMMED cars? Or maybe it wouldn’t be too much of a difference compared to one of the cars teej owns? And 2) can we maybe get one with an nsx? Or at least maybe u could answer why you’ve never purchased one or anything I mean with the fact that it’s like one of the goats in the jdm world
TJ should just make this a series, he finds & reviews every potential project car on his list & once he’s done he finds one, buys it, & builds it. Call it “The Passion Project” series
S14 is awesome but you want the 2.5 DTM spec / ITBs / carbon airbox and the lot. Still not a fast car to todays standards but that thing sounds awesome The US E36M3 is junk and this engine is too. Destroys steer in too btw.
Hey Teej, if you're looking for a high pitch screaming V12, I highly recommend you look at the older 6.0 V12s in the Aston Martin Vantage, Vanquish, Rapide, & DB9. With an exhaust, the car turns into a budget F1 that stacks up next to any Ferrari or Lambo. Hopefully it'll be on your radar in the future.
I second this motion but I would not exclude the V8s that Aston Martin developed back in the day.I owned a 93 Vantage for a few years and you could snap that thing in any direction you wanted and was crispy for a 2 ton+ car. The V600 packaged units rivaled the McLaren F1 in straight line speeds.
It’s been so great watching this channel since the brz, in the garage and seeing so many of the cleanest cars recently, all I can say is TJ, keep up the GREAT content
For me 80's M3 always have been the most good looking of all BMW. Really like how they wide the fenders back then. 😍 As Even say there are a lot of engines that can be put in to that thing!
TJ!!!! I just bought an 87 E30 and it is an amazing car! definitely my favorite driving experience to date. Evans m3 is gorgeous. great vid as always!!!!!
Air cooled 911 and e30 M3 would be the two bucket list cars I would dream of having in my garage. Born 15yrs too late for it to have a chance of happening though.
Imagine daily driving a GT3RS and then getting into a car that is almost 40 years older than it. Evan is right compare it to a RX7 or 90s Civic. Don’t compare it to a Ferrari. I guarantee if he drove his Veilside to the shop then got into the E30 TJs overall review would’ve been a lot different.
Had a 1988 E30 325IS the only negative was that it was an automatic. Surprised that M3 had a 4 Cyl instead of 6cyl. If I ever get one I would probably do a swap like this one. I had a Remus exhaust on it and loved it. This car in the video looks so clean. Classic
😢Need an e30 with a turbo s38.🔥🔥🔥 I've had a 1000whp e36 328 for 16+ years now and still daydream about an e30 build. I have my 87 325is that I drove in high-school but it has been sitting outside for 15 years. Wanna do a crazy power turbo s38b38 , high comp s38b41 or even a fully built NA kseries cause they're the closest equivalent to the s14 engine.
@@onehunnid12 built head/engine + boost this was 2006 probably alot better better info on it now. Made 715whp with the stock internals using low compression headgasket and studs. This was an m52b28. S38 is my dream engine to push to its limits.
What was good about the ferrari vid is that it was completely unknown to you. That was the good part about the vid, think it would be interesting if you (what it seems youre doing) just dab a bit more into the unknow. 🙂
I'd love to see you make one of these a crazy monster. Either B58 or go S58 X-drive somehow. Not sure the logistics of it but I'm sure it hasn't been done...yet.
E30’s are friggin go karts. Add power/supporting mods and they are a blast. Sold mine as I wanted something more daily-able in the colder months, but if I had the space I would have definitely kept it.
We want 964 turbo test-drive.👌🏻 Btw: Looking forward for that FF video😁 i used to have 944 and those were also ejoyable to drive. Regarding the e30 my friend has one with 2jz i guess best of both worlds. That thing is a handful to drive..😅
You should try one with the s14 engine, completely different driving experience, if you are really into cars you know that being “underpowered” it’s not always a bad thing, it’s a drivers car where chassis has to be the main character, anyways you can get around 280hp with no effort on an s14, we are talking a 4 cyl na with factory itb’s with a nasty induction noise if you get the carbon airbox you’ll be pedal to the floor all day long and chassis will never get stressed. It’s almost same power that one has but from an inline 4
Yo Teej.. it would really be special if you could potentially in a future video feature an e46 m3 and really appreciate what it is and how good the car handles and drives
As someone who’s always liked BMWs especially the way they look I can 100% say imo the engine notes do not sound good for the most part and you have to have the perfect exhaust setup to sound decent even when they’re turbo. BMWs in general are raspy sounding but NA inline 6s and v6s as well as 4 cylinders are probably my least favorite sounding engines in general. Where as v10s, 5 cylinders, turbo inline 6s and v8s are at the top.
My opinion, The E30 M3 is not the best version of the M3 based on looks. Id much rather have a 325IS... I do own a 325IS E30 and cannot afford the M3 so its a bias opinion but whatever...
This is the most successful touring race car ever built. It is amazing to see how many cars were inspired from the E30 M3, I'm thinking e.g. R32 GTR widebody and gurney flap, WRX widebody, Mitsubishi Evo (name inspired by the Mercedes 190E & E30 M3 Evolution models), let alone this car was the beginning of all manufacturers copying the trend to establish a performance orientated line.
I don’t think the e36 m3 engine is a good swap especially since it wasn’t even a true M engine we got in the states, if it was s54 swapped, it would be a lot more fun
@tj I have a 1997 BMW M roadster with the european version of the E36 M3 engine. 320 horsepower. only 19k miles. It's for sale if you're interested. (already imported into the US)
I was gonna say loads of money Evo M3 until I see it's not anymore 😥 the 80k car is now a 20k one. You've also realised what a lot of people think about driving a BMW, they are very bland
Let’s see a r32 build with a Street Hunter kit!! Honestly the Nismo stuff is cool but at this point it’s just becoming a cookie cutter build. I’m not talking about the small bits and things like that just the body kits and what not. And you should do millennium jade green!!
I get it, not for everyone but this is still the OG. 1400 wins (most successfull touring car till this day) 5x 24h Nurburgring wins, 4x 24h Spa wins... the hype is forever justified. E46 there's the Gtr, there's one v10 swap with a DCT clapping gt3 ass in the nurburgring.. really can't count these m3's out xD
Buying another car, ya sick maniac? 😄 E30 M3 is the M3 to have. I missed on an opportunity to buy one in 2001 for $11k. 😬 Funny thing, my BMW mechanic then didn't like the S14B23 engine, which occasionally suffered from oil starvation with very spirited driving.
