ON TOPIC Honesty, being popular/famous, while it does sound cool, has always been, like, kind of a fear when i think about it too much. Along with the fear of parasocial relationships, stalkers and fans who don't understand what bubbles are, or that they're being to pushy or creepy, popular content creators/artists/etc, also get haters who will forge (? is that the right word??) fake harmful media or rumors about them for no reason other than to cause drama, sometimes ex-fans who had a bad interaction with said creator do this. I've seen many times where popular creators online (Mostly twitter) get repeatedly tagged or stalked by a creep trying to get everyone to turn on them using fake info and/or edited screenshots/videos, and a lot of times some people are actually fooled, it's genuinely scary. And actual famous people, like actors, have so little privacy they can't even go out without being swarmed most of the time. I'm a huge fan of wrestling, WWE to be exact, and when they had a house show near me not to long ago on twitter my favourite wrestler was in a pic with a guy at the gym where he was training, come to find multiple people noticed him there and took pics. I can only imagine how annoying that must have been, especially considering some of them might not have wanted to leave him alone or chatted for a bit. Not that its a bad thing to take pictures or anything, I probably would've asked for one to, but he probably had to deal with it a lot while he was there. I feel like everyone should take a minute to think about what the say to someone they look up to or what they make about/for them might affect them or make them feel, it should be common sense imo. i used to use character ai alot, and i figured out sooner or later, the whole point of the bots, no matter how programmed, will find a way to love you. its disturbing, uncomfortable, and genuinely concerning. i deleted it and havent looked back, and im genuinely happy i did. it can teach people to break boundaries and be a little to comfortable with people.

I use character AI but one thing that I just… don’t like… are character AI bots of real people. I’ll stick to my silly murderous fictional characters that are mentally ill. That is a joke, I normally do depressing or silly roleplays or just give the AI an existential crisis

YES OMGGGG Even as a SHORTS creator, I still get many people asking me to be friends. Usually I have no clue how to respond to them. Most of my viewers are pretty young (around 9-12) so I feel awful rejecting them... With me though, it's not that people want to be friends because they know me. They know nothing about me. I share almost nothing about me/my personal life on my RU-vid, so usually when they ask to be friends they're just wanting to be friends with a youtuber or they want me to give them a shoutout. I make bots on Character Ai and I NEVER make bots of my real life friends or real people. The only people I ever thought of making was my bullies so I can torture them. But I have not done that. And I usely stick to video game characters like FNAF or undertale. I find it weird and creepy for people to make bots of their own friends! That are REAL and they can actually TALK TO. There’s absolutely no reason to make a bot of your own real life friends that you can already talk to.

On the topic of parasocial relationships + AI I've noticed that AI bots of real people are commonly made by creators that have wildly parasocial fans, namely creators such as wilbursoot. And when fans are parasocial enough to make bots of their favorite creator it doesn't just stay on "sfw" (heavy quotes) websites and quickly spreads to websites that allow nsfw bots, in fact the other night I say a bot of wilbur soot that was SPECIFICALLY made for MAPS (it got deleted obv) And there's creators such as ebaycarson who've asked it's fans not to create bots of it and yet there's still people are make bots like 'boyfriend ebaycarson' which is js downright GROSS. There's a lot of people who've talked about deepfake and making pornographic material of real people, but that's already widely happening to creators. And LORD 2 of my friends last year (who r no longer my friends) made a bot of someone who we knew irl 2 TORTUE HIM so just imagine how many people are making bots in private of creators (and the likes). It's gross and weird and not enough people are talking about it.
