I feel your pain! Im worried about my kids health. Im a new homeowner,bought a house a year ago just to find out my neighbours spray killex on their lawn 1 m away from the fence. I got a garden right next to the fence. Killex is carcenigenic and neurotoxic. I convinced 1 neighbour on one side to stop using lawn services but i dont know how to approach the other neighbour as we are not really buddy-buddy with them. There is a safer alretnative based on iron.
This is so sad. We all need to speak up and let our representatives know that we demand change. Spraying us and our earth with poison is unbelievable. And without most of us even knowing and giving permission. #monsantosucks
I would be mad, too! Glad you contacted the city about it. Sometimes things do change when people complain. I remember when I was in high school (Vaca High), my Govt class go to be a part of the city council one day. I got to play the part of the assistant city manager. I went around town and talked to some business owners, got a complaint about signs, and I brought it up at the meeting and they made changes because of the one complaint. That was a good lesson for me haha.
The city made some major changes for us. They stoped using roundUp in the city of Vacaville. They are using something else that less toxic they say. I still need to look into it. They also put up markers where my back fence starts and ends and that lets they guy spraying know not to spray by my fence. I will try and put together an update on this subject.
Somebody sprayed weed killer in my garden too and it killed all the beautiful flowers and butterfly bushes…. :( there was so much hard work and effort put into it but they are now dying so quickly 😞
@@ragdollannie Sorry to hear, it really feels terrible watching all the beautiful life fade away. I was afraid they wouldn’t grow back but thank god they have already began flourishing again. I reprimanded the landscapers for their negligence so they have been extra careful this year. I pray that your garden will recover quickly🙏(sorry for my English)
We contacted our city councilman to find out what they were spraying back there and it was roundup. There is more to this story that I will address in and update video.
I would like to know why they would be spraying like they were and why think they need to kill the grass. They should mow the grass not kill it. Grass will keep the weeds from taking over. At least Roundup (Glyphosate) is by far the safest herbicide they could choose to use if their goal was to kill the grass. Roundup is harmless
That was obviously an effort by your city's Public Works Dept. or someone they contracted with. You could be a little more proactive too by running a lawnmower on the other side of the fence to keep the grass and weeds down and then add signs on the back side of your fence... DO NOT SPRAY... ORGANIC GARDEN. Get your neighbors onboard to do the same.
There’s no access for me to do that. I would need a lift to get the mower over there. I need to do an update on this. We contacted our city council and they changed what they were spraying to something less toxic they say . They also put up marker signs where my yard starts and stops. So the guy doesn’t spray by my fence.
I wish I could. You need to handle that by passing laws. We did call our city council and they actually stopped spraying round up back there. They spray something that is less toxic they say. I would be extremely upset if I was you I assume you know that causes cancer. Monsanto was sued and they finally proved that round up indeed does cause cancer if you notice there's no more Monsanto they were bought out by bear to try to avoid lawsuits.
I know it caused cancer. I need to do an update on this subject. After contacting our city council member and informing him about the spaying going on. He told us that they will no longer be using round up in the city where I live. They will be using something else instead that is supposed to be less toxic to the environment. I wish they would stop sparing all together. I still need to research what chemical they will be spraying next. After they spared they mowed all of the dead grass, weeds and wild flowers. Then they scraped the road clean. So now it looks like a dead wasteland behind my house.
False, Roundup (Glyphosate) has been proven NOT to cause cancer and is the safest herbicide of them all even much safer than many of the highly toxic pesticides Organic growers use. There are many companies even foreign companies producing and selling Roundup.
Damn I'm feeling that poison pain... They killing everything but unfortunately is someone else property. You'll have to put up signs& ask this guy to respect your property because he's messing up whole ecosystem not just killing few weeds. Hope the cats ok but this is something shouldn't be taken lightly. If needed sue them so they pay for damages & have them build a barier so they don't kill everything in your yard too💔💩 is like a FU when ppl see all these roundup commercials then put it in your yard. Maybe they need to hire you to show them a organic pesticide if that's Edgar they after or rent a tiller if they don't like the grass re do it right way.
