Not really, I know people that do coke and are always broke no cash at all but always have coke. However, you are somewhat right coke is indeed known as the rich man’s drug or so they say. He’s training to be a Hollywood star and can’t make it in Hollywood without some Bolivian marching powder.
I had a drug problem for 20 years, lost all my friends and family, been clean and sober 15 years now and still have no friends or family! A word to the wise, don't ever start!
Don't do CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow like that he only pretended to be incompetent, but he was quite the contrary. You are right, though. He got rich, did what he wanted in the sport, and now he has no reason to get into the cage. An animal forced to fight to survive for his food and shelter is naturally going to perform at a much higher level than one that's living in a cushy mansion, doing whatever they wants, where they want, when they want, living like every day of life is a luxury vacation.
i had a drug problem for many years and this is exactly how it looks like. he will stop it when he is ready. no one can stop a drug user using its all down to them.
He needs to hit rock bottom, and call Khabib, like Patrick Bateman, when he's confessing to his lawyer. A bunch of Russians are then gonna come pick him up and take him to Dagestan, completely isolated from the digital, materialistic world for an year or two. Two years later, a video will surface of him chopping wood in a bleak snow landscape, with his beard all grown, regaining his sanity day by day until he is finally ready to return to civilization. By then, he won't be Conor McGregor anymore. He shall be Careem al Maajid. Yes, I'm high right now.
I think life might become quite empty when you’re given everything you ever dreamed of, especially if the dream was money and fame. I certainly wouldn’t trade places with him and my life is far from perfect.
A commentator once mentioned that after watching Mc Gregor win, their Irish mother asked if Connor was Irish. When the commentator confirmed to her he was, she shook her head and said “This isn’t going to end well.” She explained the sudden money with all that ego and no humility, he’d quickly fall into vices and crash out. She called it..
I believe it was Abraham Lincoln but you new age kids will believe anything you hear, he said if you wana test a man’s true character, give him power!!!! Khabib won’t admit he got that from the Americans thou
He’s really in that stage of addiction where he thinks he’s hiding it well when it’s so obvious he’s been heavily using stimulants, and it has to be more than just a few days/weeks of use for him to be tweaking so bad
I agree. Maybe not through Dagestan exactly, but somewhere to study and train with core philosophies. He is the classic tale of superstar which loses his humility.
When I was done with college wrestling I had to get sober. The adrenaline rush is addicting and when it is suddenly gone you seek out other ways to achieve that high. Often less healthy ways....
An athlete dies twice, when he retires and when he dies. As an athlete not exactly young anymore, it hits hard. Can't imagine how it must be for someone on the top stage at any sport.
@@TommyHaimakainen-sm4rb Go for it man. It's the best cardio you can get. And you can get one hell of an endorphin rush if you push your limits. An activity like that and a sense of community in a healthy space is critical.
Its why Cokeheads are unsufferable ...spitting in your ear about how cool they are and what they are gonna do thats gonna be so cool etc ... start a billion euro weedfarm in Holland etc
Ozzy stopped drugs more than 10 years ago. He doesnt even drink. His brain actually recovered and you can actually understand what he says! @@goldenturdZeniru
I just stumbled upon your video on Conor McGregor, and I have to say, using the song from Drive as the background music was a brilliant choice. It really sets the tone! Also, I have to admit, it's been a while since I've heard anything about McGregor, but I guess I'm not too surprised about the drug allegations. Anyway, great video!
*I've never understood the people who worship him? The guy cheats on his wife. Has sexual abuse allegations made against him. The guy hits old folk, and attacks teenagers. Not to mention, he's a jumped up coke head, and really not that great a fighter. I just don't understand how people can worship this guy or look up to him. But to each their own.*
Because, humanity is fvcked. Do you think just because he has grape allegation he won't get laid? It's the opposite, dude get laid way more than a good person.
bro either way is a fuckin legend... his achievments cant be underlooked. we are all human fuckin beings that go through shit at times.. good and bad!!
As someone once explained on why these celebraties often hit the rock bottom after a big success - 'They achieve everything they wanted to achieve in life: championships, money, fame, global success. They have all the money in the world. And there isn't a next level they can go to in this life. They are treated as semi-gods. And it hits them "Is this it? Is this what it feels is like to be at the top? You can get quickly accustomed to all the luxury material things and fame. A year, two down the line the yaght doesn't give them the buzz it used to. So they have to start doing something else that can give them the buzz.' If your happiness doesn't come from the within you'll never be happy long term.
not taking anything away from Ronaldo, but it's impossible to perform at a top level for 20 years in MMA, if fighters get 5 active years, they're considered pretty lucky.
Tomato tamato, Ronaldo kicks a ball with precision into a net at the highest level. Mcgregor kicks peoples heads with precision at the highest level. Both undoubtedly backed by there countries. if there was a way you could compare both of there athleticism I'm positive they would be close, if not equal. Literally just completely different sports they are playing.
I've been saying this for over a year. I've had my own battles and have worked with addicts professionally as well. Hopefully he makes some changes and we get to see some more great flights
The only thing Dana knows is that if he finishes his current contract (2 more fights) he's NEVER going to fight in the UFC again. He's seen what Ngannou made, he knows he could make more boxing some influencer clown. UFC has to renew their media deal with ESPN soon. They don't have Conor, they ain't getting nearly the same deal. UFC is going to make sure he's still under contract when those negotiations happen.
I have never been a fan of conor. But seeing someone abuse substances makes me want to root for them to cleanup their lives. I hope he gets better for his own health and for his family. But his days of being a top 5 fighter are probably over. He's going from a superstar to a meme. Godspeed to McGregor and his family. I am rooting for him put the dope behind him. He is now in the biggest fight of his life whether he realizes it yet or not
Honestly, he's proven all he needs to in the octagon. He was the best on the world for a minute. All he has to do at this point is not destroy himself.
I've seen people going from smart, warm and loving people to barely being able to talk, remember what they just said a minute ago and be bitter and hateful. All it took was a decade of drinking.
I'm amazed everyone is cool with speculating about drugs and alcohol, but no one is considering CTE, which is a much likelier explanation. CTE often leads to the substance abuse-- loss of discipline and impulse control.
@@raphaelkoch1573 Of course, but friend, do you know what CTE is? Do some research and then look at McGregor's behavior these past 10 years. Then we talk.
The moment he fought khabib I said: Khabib will deal dmg so bad that coner will have a permanent meltdown forever outside of the fight. And this is just a result of it, justice served right. As long as he don't hurt civilians anymore then everything is fine
He was already having a meltdown during the build-up. The man was a mess and was clearly hitting the bottle and other substances more than he was training.
He is starting to look like Stevie Ray Vaughn before he cleaned up. The booze and blow really go hand in hand. Weirdly, opiates worked a bit like blow for me, but I never got this bad. It must be really hard for people on this kind of drug, as there is no methadone or suboxone to keep you well while you sort your life out. I am very close to being off it, but it has taken four or five years. Looking at this clip, I think Connor might be pretty close to hitting a wall. He will probably end up doing something stupid and getting time - would be good for him at this point.
He rose to the top, reached his peak, made millions, built a family... let him live his Damn life and mind your own business. Who cares. If he wants to drink a lot then let him drink. He's fucking Irish for fuk sake... if he wants to party and do some drugs leave him be.. I'm pretty sure he's disciplined enough to not let it destroy him
Hate to burst your bubble, but Conor was a coke head before the UFC, he was doing a gram a day for weeks straight at the height of his career, and nothing has changed. This isn't new.
I’m not a huge MMA guy, more of a boxing and football fan. Serious question, is this the first visible MMA guy who ended up with serious brain damage, acting crazy and disturbing and seeming drunk all the time even when he isn’t? I’m not saying this guy isn’t a drug addict, I’m sure he is. But this is how most boxers end up in retirement, and a massive chunk of football players. Fighting is bad for you
Not really no, in order for him to have developed CTE he wouldve need way more punches to the head, Conor was KOed once in his career 3 years ago, and he usually finished fights early, he hasnt had a career known of getting punched in the head, this is definitely something else
He is a drug addict and he's dipso too, he looks nervous now, long term coke use can lead to heavy anxiety and Depression, all kinds of mental health issues. I live in Dublin and my boxer friend was on Connors security team when the kabib fight was announced, Connor was coked out of his head that night so he's using an awful long time.
I've been popping Fruit Tingles since I was 11 years old. I'm now 482 years old, so i've had a pack-a-day Fruit tingle habit for 471 years. Everyone I know that helped me through my darkest times is either dead, dying, or living off-world. No-one but an addict knows that it's just another taste, it isn't a problem, I got control. But the reality is, that you
I think we could also consider CTE. Brain damage is one of the most devastating long-term injuries you can get from martial arts. Based on new studies investigating how little impact it takes to get brain damage, I would say most fighters have it, it's just the extent of the disease. Erratic behavior, lack of control and emotions and slurry speech go in hand with substance abuse, but I would actually rather have it set off by the cycle of addiction itself than potential CTE. CTE is so devastating, because your brain controls your body. You can have a broken leg, but with a damaged brain you can have an irreversibly malfunctioning leg.
@@13bh12No. Every single fight he’s had since he began his career, has begun giving him irreversible brain damage, just like any other fighter before or after him. It’s not if he got KO’d in the fight, it’s when you get blows to the head everytime is when the brain develops CTE.
Do any of you know what Sparring is ? Do you know how many fights he’s done had, while training for the $ Fights . Everyday is a hit in the head Literally . I think some of you have CTE for not understanding the concept of what I’ve described 😂😂😂😂
Like this dude is the only person high at a social event. Anybody not drinking or drugging is possibly not having a good time because almost everyone around them is drunk or high. He's just a celebrity. He doesn't even know how high he is. Anybody else ever been there?
For Conor to post all this stuff about his partner and kids, then to see him like this in bar high as F@k doing stuff with other gals, wonder if he does realize that one day he might lose the most precious things in life and money n fame was not the answer. Cause that woman of his has to be blind not to see.
Maybe she takes care of the kids instead of following gossip on social media. Let the man get plastered while he is still young, he'll die later anyway
I agree with both of you to some extent. You HAVE to enjoy yourself while you're young, but you also have to prioritize what is most important to you long term. That coke slut in the bathroom is not long term. It's publicly disrespecting the mother of your children. At least be discreet about it.
@@Strype13 I don't have millions and I'm not famous, and even though my girl lowkey knows I'm fucking around, she also knows I love my family and it comes in first place, by light years. Sometimes you just gotta close your eyes for some things.
When I saw that good and coherent interview for Road House I thought he might be back on track... but that other interview when he is constantly moving his shoulders is a problem. The guy is broken and looks terrible, I don't think he will be able to go back to a real camp.
I wouldn't be surprised if Conor is struggling with addiction; the signs he exhibits are unmistakable. Reflecting on my own experience with addiction, I recall the constant procrastination, a trait Conor seems to share. Despite dropping hints of a comeback, he consistently fails to follow through, suggesting he may need more time to overcome whatever substance he's dependent on. The interview with Conor and Jake Gyllenhal, Conor could not stop moving, twitching, slurred words, and pauses every few words are a signs of withdrawals.
@@AustralianOpalRocks the guy is self made and worth a billion dollars. He runs a restaurant/pub, came out with then sold a whiskey company, just shot a movie (and probably a speed ball), and is on a media tour now. He's done more in the last 5 years than any of us will do in two lifetimes. How tf is he a procrastinator?
@@mohnjarx7801 in the fighting game he procrastinate. How many times have we heard him saying hes coming back, or talking about fighting nate and max holloway again. Hes always talking about fighting again for years but what happens? Fans dont care about his business ventures, we've all known and loved him for fighting and thats what made him all these business oppurtunities
He lives a terrible life! He's a multi-millionaire, travels the world on his Lamborghini yacht, was a champion in two weight categories simultaneously, and started his acting career with the highest salary for a first shot with Jake Gyllenhaal. I mean terrible..... No wonder people doesn't envy him... Oh i almost forgot he sold proper 12 for a 600 millions..... and became the richest man in a sports industry...
I watched the new roadhouse recently. I had the same impression about Conor's character. He basically plays himself. Hopefully he doesn't have and OJ Simpson-like downfall, but his future is not bright. That shot with Ronaldo was the stark difference between a true athlete/competitor and a media hound. Ronaldo doesn't even touch alcohol.
After looking into all the info and how everyone is acting in interviews I think Dana is playing this the only way he can besides coming straight out and saying Conor is constantly blasted and is a liability. Instead he's saying the obvious, like the movie promotion and coming off the injury. Eventually these excuses will have to stop but as of now the UFC is basically covering for him as much as they can. I mean you can only clean up so many messes and to still see Conor doing interviews high as a kite is prob very frustrating to the UFC. The timing of his contract I think is adding to the theory that he's being iced. I believe he is but its not for contract shit. Dana knows if he fights to soon this will be Conors last fight after being put to sleep. In the end I'm rooting for Conor to get his shit together.
Dude is so full of sht. He wants to be what he used to be and is holding onto that fame and glory SO HARD, but doesn't want to put in the work again. And he is so butthurt that the world has seen him for what he is - a great trash talker who got into his opponent's heads and beat them before they even got into the octagon. But when his mind tricks couldn't do it for him, he was humiliated by two of the greatest fighters in the world, Khabib and Dustin. What a fall...
Unfortunately Conor is in the ilk of his countrymen like George Best & Alex 'Hurricane' Higgins. Great personalities, all extremely talented and charismatic, but ultimately flawed and prone to chasing an unreachable high. I hope Conor can get help before it's too late
I had a former friend who's uncle was Alex Higgins. Said his family had no contact with him. Said he'd often get random women pregnant then pay for the abortion. Horrible person. It's the same with Conor
Whether he fights again or not, I hope Conor finds true peace and true fulfillment outside the octagon and outside the ring. He deserves it. He’s worked his ass (or arse, if he prefers) off to get where he is and in the process, has played a tremendous role in lifting MMA to it’s current level.
@@Bradley-Stinnett bro, he’s a former double world champion UFC fighter. Unless I’m talking to someone who’s fought more UFC minutes than Conor, I’d say go try to keep up with him rep-for-rep, mile-for-mile during a fight camp and then tell me who’s lazy and who “gasses out”
