Macbeth is my second favorite Shakespeare play. I've seen many versions and this is my favorite. I love how creepy this scene, it makes you understand why it is called the Cursed play.

out of all the shakespeare movies I had to watch in hs this was one that really stuck out. the witches were nailiing that creepy otherworldly vibe, the lighting was great and also the whole scene taking place in a hospital? Morgue? area with the witches as nurses only adds to that otherworldly, "they can see your fate" vibes I get from the witches

Shakespeare is is not fixed or bound by convention. It beckons to be interpreted by each generation. I'll bet the "witches' scene" was never interpreted like this. Stewart is a genius with this performance.

I watched this in high school during English class. It was amazing. However after it we decided not to watch Hamlet and instead watch Lion King to lighten the mood
