I prefer the Morisette's quality of voice in that time than now. I know it sounded plain but this is the time that her singing style is on point, whistle and squeek technique is not overused, and higher notes are its healthiest. Morisette, i am a fan of yours, but if you read this please come back to this singing style, it is more captivating and passionate at the same time. #lessismore

yes, she can hit those notes... she only needs to develop her own character/make a name of her own so that she won't be compared to other singers, especially the Asia's Songbird RVA who doesn't deserve to be compared to anyone. they have different generations. morisette can belt all those high notes which can amaze a lot of people but not all artists who truly understand music. what she needs to do for her to impress everyone is to have her own music embrace her, not her embracing the music.

she's a good singer on her own right and i think tried her all to give this classic song justice. but, RVA's approach, feel, dynamics, nuances and story telling of this 😮MRC's masterpiece has remained unparalleled up to this day.
Melvin Maniaul is completely right. All versions of "Sometime, Somewhere" by Regine, although partially recorded in much worse sound quality, have a completely different, better quality.
Morissette at 17 years old VS. Regine in her PRIME, yeah definitely Regine has a better version. BUT if sang in Mori's PRIME she would have slayed RG's version LIKE WHAT she's doing NOW.. slaying almost all Regine's SONGS.. she would have added whistle.. lol
Where please has Morissette ever slayed any Regine's version. Not without reason did Morissette included whistles in her repertoire. The only thing Regine never did. But whistles are not part of the vocal range of a singer. Morissette has a beautiful voice, but NONE, which corresponds to the outstanding one of Regine in HighRes. Comparing vocals you always need to consider the quality of the recording published on RU-vid. Listening to Regine in studio quality, it will always sound dramatically better than on RU-vid. Unfortunately, Morissettes does not have any comparable studio quality discography yet. The few available songs on Tidal or Quobuz are not really impressing. So I would say, we wait till she has issued a real comparable recording.

If I am not mistaken, as per Mr.Ryan Cayabyab he wrote this song for her Wife. One of such very passionate and beautiful song ever written by Mr.C! The interpretation of Regine Velasquez for this song is SUPERB and that is Undoubtful and Unquestionable! But this Version of Morisette is good and impressive! And what is she trying to do is to deliver the song on her own rendition, away from the shadow of Regine Velasquez! Kudos to you Morri!

This gave me goosebumps but damn Regine's version/voice is just a different level. I love mowie how she effortlessly hit the high notes and it was amazing but Regine on her prime is a beast..

She possess a beautiful voice plus range, charm, sparks, emotions, vocal styles, star appeal, etc. I think Jona, Klarisse and Angeline Q., Katrina Velarde etc. can't make this attack close to our Asia Songbird...

The difference of RV voice to the other pipes of steels is the volume. Kapag kumakanta si RVA in a mid-range to highest notes, mas malinaw at powerful kaya mas maririnig mo yun voice niya clearly kaysa sa mga instruments. Kaya karamihan ng mga singer takot siya makaduet kasi baka kainin sila ng buhay ni RVA.

God. Her voice has so much matured so well. She's easily one of the tops in the world today. She's amazing. Her emotional content in her performances is second to none. It puts her covers over the top.

wow... i think she did well on this song. pero mas gusto ko yung sa mismong performance na nia. rehearsal pa lang to ha. I think ABS already found someone who can sing RVs song. of course regine is still regine. but let's give the new gen a chance to shine. sabi nga ni Regine before, marami ding hindi bilib sa kanya before e but she was able to prove them wrong. Morissette is still young sana di magbago yung voice nia.
