Hi Gunnar, I completely missed this video! RU-vid can be so annoying 😏. Amazing footage, I just love squirrels. I love the low angle at 10h45 where you can see the squirrel from beneath, here the background is less disturbing. The light is just gorgeous. The dark squirrel and the squirrel at 15:07 are my favourite. I've enjoyed watching and I hope there will be a part 2.

Spectacular. I really enjoyed watching this video. I don't remember having seen images with so much detail and level of proximity with really wild squirrels. @@GunnarDresler They could be, and with your growing experience and persistence they will be better. They are already reaching a very high quality. Really good work. You are getting shots that are usually associated with large production crews and budgets. I wish RU-vid would better reward high quality work.

Glad you like it, it’s my idea to take a common species and try many different things. I only have a first gen, not really recommendable compared to the competition anymore. I’m waiting for third generation or a Z8
@@GunnarDresler Im looking for my first camera, i have the budget for a second hand Z6 but not a second hand Z6II, originally was thinking of a second hand D500 but after your reviews and beautiful photography with it (paired with the 200-500 native lens which i was getting anyway) im more tempted with the original Z6 if you can vouch as a good first camera?
The 200-500 works very well on the Z mount, of course there is a variation, but I am as many people very surprised how good it works on it. It’s a good place to start with a cheaper lens, which though really works well and is quite sharp compared to its used price. The new 200-600 coming will be quite a bit more expensive I think. I would not recommend the Z6 to start with, since it will probably work fine for most people outside of wildlife, but if that’s what you want to get into, then don’t do it. I can make it work in many Situation due to my experience with it and former Nikon cameras. I would say, wait for the third generation, and let the prices of the second drop. You will have more fun with the II.
