Jack works against the odds to get the new made-to-measure windows installed… did he measure them right? The 800 Euro question! Each week we dig deep to make progress on our French renovation, some weeks we have to dig deeper than others, and some weeks we have to just throw our hands up and surrender to the elements, the flu, life, and just be happy with the little amount of progress that is possible.

I bet every YT reno channel strives to find the fastest way to edit footage. No clue what the answer is but your filming, editing,music selection and thoughtful insights are super enjoyable to both see and hear. So happy your going to keep posting videos. As a semi-retired photographer I know how much time it takes to shoot download process edit etc. Windows looks fab and hopefully your finished with that heavy plasterboard. I hope Bec’s is feeling better. Spring is around the corner. Lisa

Hi Jack & Beks. Another great vlog. Hope Beks is feeling better. Everything is more difficult when Momma is sick😢. Anyway I think I was finally able to get the coffee pay to work (had to use a credit card as my bank debit card wouldn’t work - bank rejected because it’s to another country). ANYWAY, one suggestion, on your close off page, it looks like the ‘buy a coffee’ sign is covered up by the ‘always subscribe, like’ sign. If you can fix that it makes it so much easier to buy a coffee, Plus it is a better reminder to people that they can buy you a coffee! I hope that’s understandable😅. Just want to help, not annoy you guys😂

I’m sorry you guys had a hard week. I hope you’re all feeling better now though. I can’t imagine the difficulty of putting your lives on video each week and trying to have a good life. I just want you to know I love your videos and watching how you both work together to make your house a home, garden and all and raise 3 little ones. Kudos to you both.

For right now we’ve decided to keep the kids out, (even though they really really want to be in everything 😂 ) because we want it to be their decision when they’re a little older if they put their lives online . Whew! I was so afraid you were going to tell us you weren't going to make videos anymore. I love your channel! I know if feels like it takes forever to get traction with subscribers, but you guys have the 'it' factor. Stick with it! It can be a great source of passive income as time goes on.

@@growinginfrance More frequent vids, means RU-vid will show more of your vids on people's home page. Be sure all your channel tags are similar to other chateau reno channels and DIY channels. Also consider adding the popular chateau reno channels to your 'featured channels' on your homepage (Escape to Rural France, The Pethricks, etc). That tells YT there is a connection between you and them--so hopefully YT will show your vids to all their subscribers too. 😉

Jack and Becs I hope you continue , your channel has become one of my favorites. I am a single retired nurse in the US. I live in an old cottage that I have been working on for the 25 years since I lived here. At times a few years go by but then another project pops up. I try to do the work myself, watch Reno you tube videos to learn stuff I don't know how to do. I hope you keep having us along for the Reno ride. It will be so.worth it in the future, you will have a video diary of all your hard work.

Glad you like them! Yes we've got no other family here in France so when one of us is down, we certainly feel it! Becs is starting to come right though, so she'll be back at it in no time which is great because me and the kids are all missing her dinners. I'm definitely no chef haha 😂

Good to see you got the windows in despite the p***ing rain! Hopefully the weather will have picked up by the time we are supposed to put ours in, in a weeks time. And more importantly the rain stops before the roofer starts (also in a week). We thought for a minute you were going to pack in YouTubing - we were starting to think we’d have to find something else to watch on a Sunday😂
