We're Jack and Becs and this channel tells our story as a family of 5, living, renovating, and traveling in France and beyond. We moved from New Zealand, bought an abandoned Maison de Maître style french house, (which needs a complete renovation), and its attached longere. We're stripping it all back to it's bones and starting again. This should be fun!
Oh my goodness! Your Kiwis! I saw your article in “The Good Life France” and clicked in the link only to hear our very clear Kiwi Accent! Amazing. Love from Auckland NZ Jerina 🍃💕🍃
Check out this Kiwi couple, friends of mine who are also restoring a house in France but a little bit diff to yours. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B7RaET_iKms.htmlsi=M7TS-gKSoUePoJE4
Hey team, Jack can you get a flat shovel this would make your life much easier, to move stuff from your trailer or I’ll buy you one when we catch up with Becs in Siran, or Feline-Mineverous
@@growinginfrance My son is helping me renovate my front and back yard. It's a blank canvas now, all bushes, weedy trees are cleared out. You give me ideas here 😊
Jack, very well done young man! And you are very meticulous and thorough in your work, even giving the paint cans a good shake. I would often forget to do that lol I hope you do get to rest on your hammock above the creek, you deserve it!
Hey looks great ….LOVE REDSTARTS … Sometimes you can do the “trick “ stone method….so we had a nice amount of old huge slabs ..but not enough….from our 17 c cottage….so we used the thick old ones where you could see the edge …ie placing them in prominent areas …steps …edges ….not wasting the depth …then used new slabs the same colour and texture to fill in where you couldn’t tell they are skinny….the overall effect was a little cheat of the crazy heavy ones and new …can’t really tell the difference….but love seeing the old ones edges as ssssoooooo thick.😊😊 I like you’ve bounds of energy ❤
Yes the redstarts are awesome, they nest in the wall of our house so we hear their wee babies chirping away all day ❤️ That is such a good idea, we definitely had a couple that weren't quite so thick, and you can't tell 😉
You two hard workers have done a fabulous job. To save money and have an early start on your plants, both veggies and flowers, you might consider Winter Sowing. I have started plants this way for several years and have had great success. It doesn't matter how cold it gets where you live this method of starting seeds works. If you are not familiar with the process here is a link that has lots of information. joegardener.com/podcast/130-winter-sowing/
The transformation is perfection! What a lovely place to gather, or rest & contemplate. You can literally feel the LOVE that is being infused in everything you touch! I would seriously watch you slice bread. Whatever you put your hands to makes MAGIC!
Could you two be any cuter! Tell your hubby Orlando that my heart melted when he put the ear phones on your daughter. He looks like such a nice family man. Some Chateau's get crazy excited for weird porcelain, but I loved your enthusiasm over the Bird Cam Feeder! Cant wait until you decide to claim the Chateau as your home & start your best lives there. You make viewers smile with your upbeat & positive attitudes. Wishing your channel every success & increased popularity. You will know its me as I will forever call hubby Orlando as he looks more like Orlando Bloom than Orlando Bloom! Cheers from Toronto Canada
Orlando here 👋 😂 Thanks so much for the comment, I consider myself very lucky to have this family 😊 So glad we could make you smile, your comment definitely did the same for us! We also can't wait to get into the chateau. We'll see you next time 😉
Everything is just beautiful and amazing. I have never seen a man work so hard and do so many different things and they all turn out beautiful. Mary from Texas
