@@godly_potatoe69xd19 At this point I think we can pretty much confirm that this is Messmers theme, seeing as it's played in the ad for his helmet replica and his figurine
I'd assume Saitoh came up with this one since he was the main composer for the game and I can't hear Yuka's voice. She loves to sing in many of her tracks.
Gael will always be my standard for Soulsborne bosses. I can’t think of a more poetic and tension filled fight that I’ve experienced in any souls game aside from maybe ishin
Had a conversation on reddit the other day with someone comparing the Trailer OST to Gael. I think this video is proof the trailer theme hits like Gael. So excited to hear it in game!
AAAAHH the music is so beautiful I get hyped like I did when the trailer was out and these last couple of days I've been listening to Gael's theme. THANK YOU!
The mad warrior who lasted thousands of years looking for the blood of a dark soul to make a utopian painting And a genocidal king that weilds a great rune in a place that was casted away by marika??????
There’s actually no indication that this is Messmer’s theme. Gael phase 3 theme plays in the Ringed City trailer, but he isn’t actually shown. Demon Prince took the spotlight in that trailer. Ludwig phase 2 theme plays in the Old Hunters trailer but he is shown. However, Lady Maria became the “face” of that. So it’s a toss-up. In both instances, neither of the final bosses of the DLCs were shown. I think the same can be assumed for this trailer, at least. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the final boss theme instead of Messmer’s.
Mechanically, Gael has been surpassed by a bunch of Elden Ring bosses. However if we also include the theme, the lore and everything surrounding him, then that is pretty challenging. However, I have complete faith in Fromsoft to deliver onto new heights.
