Lara Fabian was blown away when she heard his version, and right from then wanted to do something together with Dimash. It took their managers about 2 years to get something arranged based on both their schedules and availability, but they did finally get to perform live together.

Yep, he blew them off their socks, didn't he? He was literally fighting for his life. In the round before this he was given a Bruno Mars song and only came in 5th, so he put on a suit in the colour of the Kazakh flag, sang a song of one of his favourite artists, showed them he plays the piano too, did a performance with an incredible build-up, opened his toolkit and blew them away. Mission accomplished.🙃

If I'm not mistaken, he spoke almost no English, as this point, so this was learned phonetically. Adagio...was the song that captured my heart and soul. Even now, it pretty well destroys me to listen. Darling Lara Fabian is the dearest of Dears...not only does she not mind Dimash singing several of "her" songs... Adagio, Vocalize/Know, Mademoiselle Hyde...she WROTE him a song...not sure if you have heard it yet. It premiered in March, just a day before Russia locked down for quarantine. It is called Your Love. LARA wrote the lyrics and the basic melody. Igor Krutoy wrote the main composition, with input from Dimash and Erlan Bekchurin at the last minute. It was in the middle of a concert tour, racing the pandemic. They basically put the song together and recorded backing orchestration in less than 2 days time, performing live on the 3rd day. I dont think Di had slept for most of that 3 days, when he performed the song for the first time in the Kremlin Palace. He had a concert one day, traveled into Moscow the next, worked with Igor on the song the same day, had a solo concert the next day and the premiere the day after that? Something crazy like that. If you have not yet heard it, in keeping with the theme of Lara, I would recommend first the trio Ti Amo Cosi with Di, Lara, and Aida Garafullina...then Your Love performed by Dimash. I would be interested to hear your take on it. I personally believe it means something far deeper than most seem to think. Not your ordinary love song. Enjoying your journey along with my own. 💞

This is my FAVORITE performance from Dimash!!! He sang this song like his life depended on it and left everything he had on that stage!! I still have to catch my breath everytime I watch this performance even though I have literally seen it at least 100 times!!!! I'd like to recommend The Love of Tired Swans. It's my favorite song from him so far! Incredibly beautiful and moving song and some of his most beautiful vocals in my opinion. The lyrics and composition are touching on a different level!!!
