I was meaning to actually make this, if anything, would've shown this off the last time I did a longplay on S1F, but anyways, here's a quick showcase on how to find the Emerald Shrine, discovered in Labyrinth Zone.
For starters, if you don't already have it unlocked yet, you need to beat the game with all emeralds in order to unlock the Emerald Gauntlet.
Next step is beating the Emerald Gauntlet, as it's all 7 special stages with the addition of a timer. Once surpassing that, you are given a message after collecting all chaos emeralds that "The Way is Now Open." (Also want to mention, from the time that I got here, it might be considered a world record. 🔥)
Following that is finding the Emerald Shrine. You have to enter Labyrinth Zone Act 1 (any character works), and find the Emerald Shard that's hidden on the top route. Once finding the Emerald Shard, you have to back track and take the lower route, keep going until you'll find an Emerald Shard shape in a stone on the ground. Approach the stone and from there it'll give you a route to the shrine (with also the addition of a nice soundtrack change).
Once getting on the shrine, you'll be awarded with hidden unlockable, that is Hyper Abilities, giving you the same hyper abilities from S3&K.
To be specific:
• Sonic is given a Hyper Dash;
• Tails is given the Super Flickies;
• Knuckles is a shock wave attack that causes an earthquake and destroys all enemies on the screen, when gliding into a wall.
