Sonic 2 CD Remix: Custom Shields, Metal Sonic Changes, and more! 

This mod is looking to be really cool. It has the fun gimmick of Sonic CD but the streamlined, fast paced levels of Sonic 2, the options of Sonic 3 Complete/A.I.R. It's just a better Sonic 2/CD

I've been seeing your work for years at this point, and you don't stop to amaze me, good job man. Anyways, here is something i thought for Metal Sonic Storyline: Robotnik is back! And with a new plan and new robots! In which Metal doesn't look remotely amused by his creator's choice, so he demands a test for himself, so prove he alone is enough to deal with Sonic and his friends, so he'll have to face Eggman's robots, traps and fights against his robot duplicate as well as trapping animals for more badniks and adquiring the Time Stones, only then he will accept Metal as his true masterpiece and the only one he needs to serve him, will he succeed though? That will up to you.

The new shields look amazing, but the Chemical Shield kinda makes the Bubble Shield a little redundant...a bit of rebalancing might be needed. Also for Metal Sonic's storyline, others suggested that Eggrobo is trying to upsurp Metal Sonic, but I have an alternative idea that only applies if you willingly break the Animal Capsules that you drop. If so, Metal slowly becomes a good boi (a bit akin to a morality system) and he can collect Time Stones while keeping the future good. If you did or didn't break the Animal Capsules, there's two possible endings. 1 (Metal Sonic followed Eggman's orders and made Bad Futures). Eggrobo doesn't run away in Wing Fortress Zone, allowing you to destroy him (or launch him away if you wanna save Eggrobo for Knuckles' story). Metal flies up to the Death Egg and there's a time skip where Sonic goes through his playthrough. With Metal beating Sonic in a race at long last, Eggman still desires to test his abilities. The final boss is a harder version of Silver Sonic and the game ends with Metal standing alongside Eggman as he rules over the world. 2 (Metal goes rogue and smashes the Animal Capsules). A Good Future is kept in place, making even Eggman very frustrated with Metal. Eggman will be in Wing Fortress Zone like in the vanilla game, but when Metal tries giving pursuit, he's shot down. Luckily Amy rescues him with the Tornado and the latter boards the Death Egg. Once inside, you'll race Sonic but with Eggman not being present, Sonic won't die upon losing. He'll instead smile at Metal for the latter's heroic actions and give him the Chaos Emeralds. The player can choose to turn into Super Metal Sonic to battle Silver Sonic and the Death Egg Robot. The ending is similar to the vanilla game, but both Sonic and Metal are on the Tornado's wing with Amy piloting. Both Sonic and Metal Sonic shake hands to mark their new friendship before posing together. Sorry if my ideas are kinda stupid. I just like the concept of choosing Metal Sonic's morality and making him a good boi as an option.

This is amazing, its a lot of content and everything looks so well about metal's story i think it could be maybe a fight between eggrobo and metal and the final boss could be diferent from the original sonic 2 boss, i dont have much ideas tbh hope everything gets better and dont forget to not force yourself

Your hack keeps impressing me, every time I see a new update. I'm happy to hear that your mental health is doing better! Above everything else your mental and physical well being needs to be taken care of, take your time with your project. It's already proving to be a great one! Maybe once you're in a even better place you can work up the courage and confidence to construct a team to help with other aspects.

This hack is looking great! Just a quick suggestion here, maybe add in Sonic 2's cut stages? For example, Wood zone will be metropolis zone or Casino Night past, you don't have to, just a suggestion :)

I also wish you the best of luck with your mental health thing. Just remember, don't push yourself to do something if you don't want to. Your making great things but if you don't want to do it anymore. That is 100% fine. *Also if you ever need Music for your game, I would be happy to compose some tracks.* (I love making music and I'll do it free of charge.) Anyway, Here are some ideas I thought of. Use them, Don't use them. Up to you. (Also you don't need to credit me for the ideas. It's your game and nobody is really going to care.) *Story ideas:* 1. For Metal Sonic's story you could have a boss where Metal Sonic fights Sonic. (I'm not sure how coding works so I'm sorry if I'm sounding stupid but maybe you can use the same code for the Knuckles Boss fight found in Sonic 3&K.) 2. At the end of Metal Sonic's Story maybe somehow Metal Sonic turns good and for a final fight, Metal challenges Dr. Robotnik. (Also not sure how this will work since you said Metal Sonic's story will take place first.) *New feature ideas:* 1. New Character: Maybe if you complete Metal Sonic's story (Or all the stories) you could unlock a new playable character. *Metal Knuckles.* He would have the same abilities as Metal Sonic but with Knuckles' moves such as gliding and climbing walls. (He would just be a better version of Metal Sonic. but it would be a nice reward for completing all the stories.) 2. Speed Shield: It would work like the speed shoes (Maybe a little bit slower) but it never runs out. It stays with you as long as you still have the shield. 3. 2-Player Mode: You could have the standard 2-player mode from Sonic 2 but what if there was a teamwork mode. You could have the split screen but instead of racing each other you help each other out. So it's basically the same thing as the main story but with 2 people (Or 3... Actually... I don't know how if the Genesis could run that.) with the split screen. But anyways that's all I have to say. I know I've never commented on your videos before so I'm sorry for the really long comment. Take care!

I could help you with the hack after i set up sonlvl, i would mostly make new layouts and try adding act 2 remixes in sonic 2 zones

Maybe the history of metal sonic is like knuckles in sonic 3 Metal sonic helps eggman but eggrobo with other badniks wants destroy him because are jealous of metal sonic or they think that are sonic

I can recommend you release an update at 13K Subscribers to keep the Sonic 2 CD Remix demo fresh cut lots of RU-vidrs cannot forget it.
