It's been a while
I've spent this time learning the ins and outs of Furnace as well as studying the nuances of classic Sonic music, the Genesis sound chip and FM synthesis in general, so hopefully the quality of my arrangements should improve from now on.
This is a fairly basic arrangement of one of my favourite final level themes, exclusively using voices from the Sonic 3 & Knuckles boss themes.
The 3K Final Boss bass was the obvious choice here, and while I was unsure about using the SK miniboss trumpet and guitar at first they fit quite well.
I will say I am proud of the pseudo-echo effect I managed to achieve in the 2nd section, it's subtle but makes the track a lot less dry.
