Amy's my second favorite in the sonic series. People hate her 'cause her character got completely destroyed in Sonic Heroes (as did Tails' )

@@phoenixwright784 Are you kidding me? her character was so strong and expressive in heroes! Tails was a bit weak, which I will admit but amy was so confident and lovely!!!

@@rider2513 Except the issue is for a lot of people (and something that I as an Amy fan don't quite care for as well ) was how she serves as the first boss for Team Sonic (or Team Sonic is the first boss for team Rose ) and because of this, despite supposedly being in love with Sonic, she fights and attempts to kill sonic to force him into marrying her. Not to mention that at the end of her story in Adventure 1, she says something like making Sonic respect her which I always took as her trying to mature a bit and working towards self improvement. Something that fits with her story since she spends pretty much all of it running away from an enemy or needing to be rescued by Sonic, and then at the end she stands up for herself and her bird friend to defeat that enemy all on her own. There was character development that I feel was ignored in Sonic Adventure 2 where her role was very minor anyways and then completely got destroyed in Heroes. Tails' character got the worst of it though since his character development (getting out of Sonic's shadow and becoming his own hero in a way ) was more or less continued in Adventure 2, but then completely regressed in Sonic Heroes. To be fair, this isn't entirely Heroes' fault since it simply focused much less on characterization and story then Adventure 1 and 2 did and was far less serious then either game, etc. But it is a bit of a sore spot since trying to develop Amy and Tails' characters is one of the few things that I've continued to appreciate in Adventure 1 and 2 despite the fact that my opinion of either game (especially Adventure 2 ) has only soured over the years :/
