Actually the hedgehog from the mural is wearing a ceremonial outfit like a royal. It could be a recording of past events that got misread a prophesy over the ages. As for how versions of Sonic and Eggman are in the ancient past , it is unclear. But they were way off if they predicted that Sonic would wear cloths.
