I wouldn't actually say the Master Emerald is actually useless. Mecha Sonic could achieve a super form using it. (And no, Metal Sonic never went super, that was Mecha Sonic which is a different bot. Metal Sonic has that Metal Overlord form but that's achieved by copying enough biodata)
