if youd combine the 2 titles, itd make "Live Life With Me" which makes sense with this comment too. Even though its in the wrong order, it still makes sense. Could be a stretch though.
the true ending sequence of Sonic & The Black Knight which is seen in the beginning of this video is one of the very few moments where Sonic shows his philosophical side.

My childhood friend had died from suicide last year. And it woke me up from my depression and doubt. It may still linger from time to time. But I'll let this song remind me to live life the way I want to.

This song gets even more emotional if you think about Sonic's current state. This song is a tribute to the great sonic games with great stories all the way from 1991 to 2009. Also a tribute to the real modern sonic who used to be a great role model for kids by giving soo many life lessons like to never give up the fight, live and learn, the power of teamwork, If you have time to think then run, always help out friends and live life to the fullest in the time you have. Miss this Sonic.
2009 was the end of an era for Sonic. It’s almost like Eggman robotized the characters and stories. Everything feels lifeless. This song makes me miss the life lessons you could learn from the Sonic games… I miss it when Sonic stories had depth, originality, and likable characters. Sonic as a character made a great role model. I agree with everything you said although the entire “power of teamwork” thing was a bit to cheesy though imo
@@thesoniczone917 Now this Sonic can return in Sonic Movies only because I trust the director to write these characters with their proper characterization as he himself said that in Sonic Movie 2, Knuckles will be like his SA2 counterpart. I bet that movies will the only place where the true Sonic characters will return.
@@shivansh3387 True. I think we’ve seen a bit of great writing from the IDW comics as well, but it’s not perfect. Sega is strict on how the characters are written in the comics. Shadow, for example, is only written as the “edgy rival” character.
@@thesoniczone917 IDW's potential is being restricted but the writers are still able to provide great stories that made the new characters very likable among fans. I really hope they don't bring back Shadow for every arc. All he does is to anger the fans. It sucks that after witnessing the best Shadow's character in 06, we get this edgelord nowadays. Atleast P06 might get SEGA's attention and they might bring back this original Shadow whose popularity rivaled Sonic's popularity
This song makes me miss Jason Griffith, he was the best Sonic. It also makes me think of the Love Live! unit Muse because of their breakup in 2016, but at least they’re back for the recording and a single in 2020
I miss this Sonic. I understand he's a cartoon happenin' hedgehog with spunk with the "tryin to be cool" trope that the writers have to constantly keep in mind but when he knows it's time to drop all that and shows that he can be a sweet, caring and considering guy is where the character truly shines. some of my favorite sonic moments; the end of Sa2 where he gives his respects the end of sonic and the secret rings where he lets Shahra that it's ok to cry. the end in the black knight where he says you gotta live life at its fullest.
Well do I have good news for you. The now ended Archie comics(later issues) and the new IDW comics have the Sonic and characters you are looking for. Everyone reading these comics, me included, want the man writing the comics, Ian Fletcher, to write Sonic games.
@@insertpunhere2872 oh yes I've been reader of the archie comics since issue #126 where sonic is traversing through space to get back to Mobius, the over dramatic soap opera ish tone/writing was a huge turn off but eventually the writing became better and the art style became more cartoony and more fun. I tried reading the neo metal sonic saga and enjoyed it but I can't help but miss the freedom fighters.
My favorite sonic moments added to that are the same as yours but also sonic in o6 where he makes elise know that everything will be ok when she blows the flame and make it so the events of the game are erased (just like no way home where everyone forgot that Peter is Spider-Man) and I like how he told elise to smile because it’s like the ending of no way home but way before that. That’s why this ending is good and I like it. Sonic hero’s where he beats metal sonic and him asking why can’t he defeat him and him replying that he has his friends and that they are sonic hero’s after that he says anytime you want a rematch just let me know. I’ll be waiting and dashes away. Sonic in the dark era and adventure era is my favorite same with every character they basically have a game in that era I love yes even knuckles and tails in the dark era sue me. But I can’t blame you for lo being sonic in those types of games
Sonic X's Sonic was also a cool dude as well! like the time he went out of his way to give Cream those extra flowers when he would have been just sleeping most of the day... or the time he helped that girl with the wheelchair visit an island she's been eager to see, but her parents find it hard to get the time to take her there

This has always been one of my favorite Sonic songs of all-time. Seriously, the song's lyrics is just gorgeous, as it sends a very meaningful message to the players. The song tells you and me to live life to the fullest despite countless troubles and difficulties we may face. Personally, not only did I have difficulties dealing with my mental health issues at a young age due to having PTSD symptoms before I was diagnosed with this mental disorder at age 13 back in 2015, but I had to deal with my extreme shyness, constant anxieties, and constant bullying. It was a HUGE mess, but I loved playing Sonic games not only to have fun, but to ease my anxieties and pain I was going through throughout my childhood. Listening to this song reminds me to keep living life to the fullest, no matter what, and I wanna keep that in mind. For those that are suffering from depression or other mental health issue, dealing with bullying, family problems, anxieties, and/or other problems that you may personally have, know that you are loved, so instead of taking your own life (which I almost did thrice), try to live your life to the fullest despite all the obstacles you may face.
Wow. This song is amazing. One thing I really like about the Sonic franchise is how inspirational the songs and games (used to) be. You should always do what’s right no matter what. It doesn’t matter if your stressed or frustrated. Always do what’s right for others. That’s just part of living life to its fullest. You gotta live and learn, you need to speak with your heart and reach for the stars. The possibility’s are never ending. Just continue to live life to its fullest! Do what’s right forever! Because in the long run, we’ll feel great about ourselves.

Y'know people around me always ask why I love sonic so much but this is it right here when I was little I went through so much and this along with the games just sonic in general inspires me to be a better person to be a "hero" if you will. This song and Never Turn Back may be emotional songs due to the lyrics but Light of Hope from Sonic Forces is an 11 on the emotional scale while both this song and Never Turn Back are a 10 on it. the general message of this song is basically what Sonic says in a moment of being a philosopher during the true ending of the game mentioned in this video's title. while Never Turn Back from Shadow The Hedgehog is about putting anything in your past behind you and not letting it control you by always moving forward to the future. and lastly Light of Hope from Sonic Forces is about never giving up hope even when things are at their worst.
@@jasonblack2477 that may be but try comparing it to what you may know if you have either played Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric or watched a full set of walkthrough videos of it with the only real flaw that Sonic Forces has aside from no Super Sonic in the final boss fight. and that's repeated use of the same levels even if the layout varies from one to the other. in my book Sonic Forces was far from the best but it's actually a decent game once you look past the few major flaws it has.
@@RevanSecura bruh story was bad. The level design was soo damn awful and the physics too plus soo much is automated. Final boss resused. Controls are awful you can't even drift anymore its also automatic. I rather play boom and 06 Boom at least had fire and ice which was a good game. And no forces isn't descent. Everything is pure garbage except some soundtracks
@@jasonblack2477 to each their own opinion on the matter and mine is that Sonic Forces is the superior game to the Sonic Boom games. sure the plot, levels and boss fights are reused from prior games for the most part the music more than makes up for it in my book. there's three songs with lyrics that put Sonic Forces on my top 10 3D Sonic games and that's Fist Bump, Theme of Infinite and Light of Hope.

The gameplay is far superior to forces like its ridiculous how much better it is. 5 characters new abilities races against eggman new 2 screen boss fights unique worlds and cgi cutscenes and in game cutscenes all voiced. This is probably one of the reasons why i love sonic and the black knight, this song always brings back my childhood nostalgia and i love it. I still play the game in 2022 onwards. Its one of the best franchises ever
I alwyas feel I have to come back to this song to simply stop and think to myself. There’s so much crap happening nowadays it really makes it hard to try and just live but honestly when you think about it this song and Sonics outlook are the freshest reminder why it is I can keep going despite all the bad things happening across the world. Just live the life I know and whatever happens at the end of the day make sure you can look at the sky above and say “yeah I lived my life to the fullest and I’m happy I lived it on my terms.”

Yeah, this is gonna be another heartfelt deep comment on this song and the game as a whole, but I may as well get in my two cents This song means a lot to me. Not in a “I liked this game so I like this song” kinda way, but more like a “I went through some shit, this game was an escape for me, and this song was what pulled me away from doing something I’d regret today”. Truly an underrated song, from an overhated game. Also nice to hear Crush 40 do something that isn’t balls-to-the-wall final boss music rock. Not that that is bad, in fact it’s how we got songs like ‘Live and Learn’ and ‘What I’m Made Of’, but this one is different. It could just be the inclusion of a more orchestra-oriented song composition, but it’s feels oh so much more than that.
