@@2diefor yes it does, although I don’t like the insinuation that Frontiers is entirely soulless. I think it was quite bold in a lot of ways. And it’s finally representing the characters as characters again. It’s certainly the most soul we’ve seen from the series since Black Knight. I think we should appreciate the step in the right direction.

@@2diefor the ghost of 06 haunts this series and made them petrified by the prospect of ambition and creativity, SEGA need to get over it (I think they have with Frontiers) and so do we as fans. Frankly I’d much rather they pull another 06 than another Forces, especially because a game like 06 could at least be patched if it came out today. 06 did the damage it did because there was so much mainstream hype around it, it was one of the first genuinely exciting 7th gen games and the fallout from its failure was larger than the entire reach of the series is now. If a game like it dropped today, most people outside the fanbase would be like “haha another glitchy Sonic game” and move on with their day… Which is exactly what they did with Frontiers anyway! We as fans would be disappointed that the game sucks, but I personally would at least be glad that they tried something. Let’s remember how downright hopeless we all were in the wake of Lost World and Forces. After Origins dropped I thought SEGA would never pull off an interesting and competent Sonic game ever again. We were all so tired of SEGA playing it safe. Edit: aaaand Superstars is a world class steaming fucking turd with no soul AND no polish. Good job SEGA

No, the game plays like this with the WiiMote by the end. You just have to unlock all the powerups to turn Sonic into Sonic.

⁠@@ChrisStoneinatorthere are many legitimate reasons to prefer controller over the wiimote. I have backstep and jump dash/homing attack bound to the triggers and it’s just better.

On dolphin emulator you can map motion controls to buttons I believe

@@YR-jg1gk right click on certain areas in the controls then you can utilize what I call dolphin syntax (probably not what it’s actually called but that’s my nickname for it) and it comes with GUI
