There are Gerald Journal entries in this game. You get one at the end of all 8 stories by playing them again after completing Emerl's story. But it might be easier to just look them up to get the information for them.

I've gotta say, Sonic Battle really surprised me! I was going in expecting a meh fighting game, but got a game with a lot of depth gameplay, story and secrets wise! It can be really poorly balanced which is a problem for a fighting game, but it is really fun to mess around with the combat/skills and experimentation!
