@@BitchChill It's an extremely good game, and it takes you several playthroughs to finally see how. If you approach this game on your first run as a normal, expected Sonic experience, it's probably disappointing. Short levels, and very easy / forgettable bosses. You might also be frustrated at how you can't quite seem to line up a time travel run or can't figure it out, and you always get stuck in the bad future. "Why are my time travels cut short every time? How do I master this bonus stage game?" So after a while, you pick it up again, but this time you're a little more determined. A little more willing to slow things down and explore some more. You start by practicing the time warps from the bad future and back, and you start to get the hang of where and how you can make reliable time jumps. Next you learn that the robot generators are hidden in the past and you need find and destroy them to get to the good future of each stage. It becomes more satisfying learning ideal routes and getting more confident in jumping between time periods. You learn that you don't actually need to collect all of the Time Stones for the good ending. Before long, on your 4th or 5th playthrough, you've mastered the time warp and you've seen the good ending. You now challenge yourself to visit every time period in every zone and destroy every robot generator for the good future. It's a sort of hypnotic dance hopping between times with ease, enjoying the music from each and every stage, appreciating the subtle and not so subtle differences between time zones. This was my experience with Sonic CD. It was frustrating and it was cheap, but it was intriguing, challenging, and rewarding the more I played it. It's the sonic game I've played the absolute most of and it now is absolutely one of my all time favorites.
@@professionalclown7166 i think he just kind of means CD was sort of the middle child between Sonic 1 and 2 on release and was largely inaccessible until the rerelease, so it did sort of serve as just "another adventure" without as much gravity as the games that released before and after it

This song actually had a very good message for the youth coming up at this time. There is no circumstance or obstacle that you can't handle in life, no goal you can't achieve if you just USE YOUR MIND and believe in yourself. Now that I'm older and look back... where is the older generation now to uplift our youth to that same message? Everything seems to be in reverse now!

I've listened to this version of Sonic Boom since I was a kid on the Mega Collection, but I've only recently heard that ending with the ascoustic guitar, and it's one of the best notes a sng can end on.

(read full before commenting it) I had a argument with someone who did terrible things to me. it was messy and we started yelling I even started crying but I felt good afterwards when I finally took the power I lost from them. and this song is the first thing I wanted to listen to cause it's so hopeful! it's so beautiful, for as weird as it is to say Sonic helped me in my life a lot so this is very soothing to hear afterwards. if you're in trouble out there I wanna say to you! it gets better! and I love you
Just imagine; If there's a version of Sonic CD that actually both singers of JP and US[Respectivelly Keiko Utoku and Sandy from Pastiche] versions teams up to sing together a "Memorial" version of "Sonic Boom, You Can Do Anything" Would be beautiful as fuck
I will never forget beating this game for the first time, seeing Sonic land just in time to see his work done, the planet bouncing, teeming with life once again as balance is restored. Then stars fall from the heavens around Sonic as he stands, in awe at the beauty of this mysterious yet wondrous little planetoid, as it flies off into space. This is one of the best video game endings in my opinion, as well as this game as a whole, and should be cemented in video game history as the legendary masterpiece that it is. To me if I were to point to one game that summed up what Sonic was to me, it's this game.
This song is great in the US soundtrack, giving you a break after that extended version of the nighmare-inducing boss theme they dare to call a final boss theme.

lets get on how banger this art is that's a clock in that ring, the whole time travel thing that beautiful landscape photo inside the chains (what we're fighting for) those chains are coming from the imprisoned and half cyberformed little planet hovering over robotnik's hand the chain loop back into robotnik's tight grip, he's in control. he's all covered in shadows and very foreboding sonic being at his most badass on the right with metal on the left everything is reflected in the gold on the ring
After I beat the game with all the time stones, just hearing this playing in the end made me feel like a champion, idk why. It just felt like the right soundtrack for something like this.
I'm so glad this port was made and was poured so much love into the whole project. From hearing the musical loops for both the JPN/US soundtrack, the improvements, and getting to hear the incredible acoustic guitar ending of this song. Absolutely incredible work.

I'm so glad, when thinking of LEGO Island, this song came to mind, but I was able to keep it in my head, let it simmer and not just brute force it, and my brain was finally able to, in only a few minutes, figure out what melody I remembered and what the song was.
I honestly think it's a shame we got the opening version instead of this version on Spotify. Actually it's just a shame we didn't get the whole US soundtrack on Spotify
This song makes me picture a soldier wandering off into the desert away from a bunch of fallen helicopters, buildings, and airplanes as the only surviving member of his platoon.
Back when Sonic was a beautiful simple character instead of the cliche punchlines. He had much more of a sense of urgency yet maintained composure. The not always smiling and winking sonic, but the always prepared sonic. The lyrics really describe his mentality. “It’s alright, take a chance, cause there is no circumstance that you can’t handle” pImagine if they made sonic x anime with a sonic protagonist of the sonic cd persona: More silent and serious, yet still just as free.
