I just discovered this channel and I am blown away at your dedication to Sonic CD. It is my favorite video game of all time as well and I appreciate the content and all your videos! Thank you!
For those that are wondering this is thought to be a remixed version of R2 / Dubious Depths / Ridicule Root Bad Future theme. The song comes from a Album made from Sega them self from the 1990's.
Sonic Fans try not to find/finish unused content challenge I find this absolutely cool. I cant wait to see someone make a full-on level for DD. Btw the discord links expired
I temporarily set the discord private because we were having issues with trolls, it will go back being public when we upgrade the security of the server, if you wanna join for now contact me on discord (tag: AngelFox (alt account)#6849)
It feels like Quartz Quadrant done right. That version doesn't sound evil enough, except for the "Whoa, forget this place!" samples. This version sounds much more evil, and could be great depending on the zone itself. I mean, it's not the epitome of impending catastrophe that is Wacky Workbench BF, but is it set in a munitions factory? I don't think so.
The bassline is too repetitive. Surely, in the actual track, the bassline would have had some more variation as the track progressed. Just changing the first or last note of the riff periodically could do wonders here. When listening to the sections based on other zones, it becomes clear that the Techno Power Mix exaggerates the repetition of each source track. But aside from that, this is probably the best "historically accurate" take on this track I've heard so far.
wow!! this is amazinggg. im actually doing drawings of what i think all the time periods for r2 would have looked like!! if you would like i can keep you updated
this feels quite repetitive imo, I think from what we've seen in the Techno Power Mix there was a sample at the beginning, and the bass didn't go all the way through the entire song. I think maybe a little more variation in there would make it sound more complete?
