Sonic Colours: Ultimate playthrough ~Longplay~ 

This is a playthrough of Sonic Colours: Ultimate for PS4, played on PS5 (timestamps below).
While this port had an infamously poor launch plagued by technical issues, it's since had some patches to fix the more egregious issues - so the decision as to which version to play is more influenced by whether you want the enhanced framerate offered by Ultimate, or the more appealing visual style and polished production value of the Wii version. The caveat here is the Switch version, which has all of Ultimate's drawbacks while still being locked to 30fps.
Underneath the divisive additions and changes, though, is Sonic Colours - which in itself holds up really well. The level design doesn't lend itself to fast gameplay as well as Unleashed and Generations, but it's still a fun game to revisit today, and the dialogue is Pontac and Graf's "meta-era" writing at its best (Baldy McNosehair is funny, I will die on this hill).
