First one is totally City Escape

It has nothing to do which which theme the level is using. They clearly just made a handful of graphical templates for stage-building and the layouts are devised independently from that, so that they can make a lot of Cyberspace levels to sprinkle throughout the game. Considering it's a side-attraction, I'm not bothered by it. And it's cool to see them adapting level designs from BEFORE the boost era, too.

Sonic Unleashed is better. And that was on the PS3 and 360

"Momentum" this game has none. The jump is a static speed, walking is a static speed, boosting is a static speed, so on. None of the moves flow into each other like sonic 3, sonic adventure, sonic unleashed and gens. That's why its boring - the only complexity to the game is knowing when to hit the boost button and to press the square button when the prompt comes up. It can be fun, but sonic can do so much better than this

Personally for me it kinda does look boring. There's nothing wrong with the game in it's design but I'm not really feeling a great sense of speed with frontier's boost.

@@redray213 on gens and unleashed when you boosted there was a blur effect on the screen and it also zoomed, making it look way faster than it actually is Frontiers is just as fast if not faster, but it looks slower because it doesn't has these effects, it's got for visualization for speedrunners and that type of thing, but it also kinda breaks the immersion

Sonic: unleashed is my first favorite sonic game, then comes Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity

Like a 3rd of the Cyberspace stages are reused Unleashed stages....

That's practically what the last few Sonic Games have become. Forces, Colors, they never made the Unleashed Formula work, stripping away key features and mechanics that made levels entertaining.

They are designed to be skill tests for speed, how many rings you can hold on too, red rings collected, and a few other things. You are rewards with vault keys at the end. Alot of the automation is designed to keep you on your toes because its so fast paced. The hyperspeed mode is a night mare on hard mode hah

It's a filter that plays whenever you boost, all other sonic games are like this, but I'm pretty sure someone said you can disable the boost filter.
