Sonic is probably wondering why he is here since it was erased from his memory. See, they shouldn't have cheeped out with this. They should have put dialogue in modern Sonic's levels when he is going through them to kind of make it seem more familiar and pull a little fan service. In this level he could have said, "I don't know this place, but why does it seem so familiar?"
MarkRetro Because not only are the 2D sections a pace breaker but they're also designed in such a blocky, uncreative manner which don't compliment Sonic's gameplay.
One thing I always found odd was that there was literally only one grind rail in this level and it’s at the very end of the level. Cause in the original, grind rails were everywhere throughout the stage. Especially Shadow’s version of the end of the level with that big grind rail section going around the fire tornado
@@thepunkkingkingofthederps7686 No, Sonic and Silver most likely remember (Sonic colours ds , generations and forces confirm this) , but Silver forgot about Blaze somehow (although they say to each-other that they look familiar , its probably due to Blaze being erased for their dimension at the end or something) . Shadows character development in 06 also might mean that Shadow remembers. Time eater from Generations is semi confirmed to be to be a part of Mephiles.
@@giamocco3496 Sadly, Sonic Rivals (1 and 2) messes every thing up. It messes Sonic Rush, adventure and 06. It was also developed by Backbone entertainment and Sega USA (Not Sega Japan). It also wasn't mentioned in the Official Sonic 101 video while 06 was. (I recommend watching Sonic 101, it's on the official Sonic The Hedgehog RU-vid channel) For the sake of Simplicity I don't consider it canon.
Ah yes, the good days of 3D boost level design. I miss Sonic Generations/Unleashed design of levels. Crisis City, being a mid level in 06 became a banger in this one.
KinnikumanUpLoader01 It can make sense that the only reason that Crisis City is in the white hub world is because it's fragment of time that has been erased even though the time eater didn't cause it. It seems like a logical explanation if we take out the fact that fans wanted Crisis City in Generations.
I think one explanation could be that the Time Eater is capable of affecting alternate timelines, so maybe this specific zone is supposed to be in a different timeline.
@@MissJackietheLakester Sonic 06 is not an alternate timeline, as in the past sonic tells Elise to blow out the candle, but before that, Elise kissed sonic back to life as super sonic
Should've had 2 levels from each game. 1-Green Hill and Scrap Brain 2-Chemical Plant and Hilltop 3-Sky Sanctuary and Lava Reef 4-Speed Highway and Emerald Beach 5-City Escape and Crazy Gadget 6-Seaside Hill/Ocean Palace and Rail Canyon/Bullet Station 7-Crisis City and Kingdom Valley 8-Rooftop Run and Eggmanland (include werehog parts) 9-Planet Wisps and Aquarium Park 10-New Stage 11-New Stage 12-New Stage then 9 dlc.
SEGA PLEASE Do SOMETHING other than that Casino Night shit for a Generations DLC. Also, my personal list: Sonic 1: Green Hill and Scrap Brain Act 1 Sonic 2: Chemical Plant and Oil Ocean Sonic 3&K: Sky Sanctuary and Hydrocity Zone Sonic Adventure: Speed Highway and Emerald Coast SA2: City Escape and Final Rush Sonic Heroes: Seaside Hill and Grand Metropolis Sonic 06: Crisis City and End of the World Sonic Unleashed: Rooftop Run and Eggmanland (again, include werehog parts) Sonic Colors: Planet Wisp and Aquarium Park
StarDragonJP They didn't add Sonic CD and I couldn't figure out where to put it, I was just adding on to what they did. As for handheld, I think the 3ds version should have been all handheld stages.
princephillay Sonic CD would be Classic Sonic, it came out before Sonic 3.Also it'd be nice if Sonic 3D Blast got a level too Yeah thats what I was thinking. Game Gear = Classic Era Game Boy Advance = Middle Era DS & 3DS = Modern Era There was also one on the NeoGeo but its basically Sonic 2 with different level names. There's also Sonic Rivals on PSP, but they seem to be racing games.
That was one thing I loved about Sonic 06, the gameplay was so long and extended with heaps of detail! These newer games get so much smaller over time...
@@paulreviews7538 You asked for speed, so you get Mach speed. And when you get it you complain about it being "too much speed" Simple, you just described gaming community. They want something new, and when they get it they complain.
Did you know that if you fall onto the lava here you wont die and can actually walk around just like in the original? Trust me i know because ive tried
Personally speaking, the only enjoyment I got out of that game was gathering around it with a group of friends and having a million laughs at the game's expense about how terrible and nearly unplayable it was. But hey, opinions!
When I watched a playthrough of this, I was enjoying it until this part. My stomach started to feel weird, I felt lightheaded, and I was reminded of the pain and suffering I had to go through to beat crisis city in 06. It's as if my body was defending itself from Sonic 06.
@GamerGuyd7Aces You said it, a friend pompt me not buying this game despite of a Sonic fan I am, and thankfully I didn't owned one, but this newer Crisis City whips the 06 anyday
I cant wait until I'm DONE with my last year in high school. I need to go work for Sega, and remake '06 in to a whole new and stylish way. God where is Juuune???!! I'm so ready to do that and my "Origins" project.
If you wanna remake 06, make it a fan game instead Maybe if you design it right, it’ll get enough attention to where Sega _might_ notice it and possibly hire you
SEGA took suggestions from their fans. I'm pretty sure many people suggested levels from Sonic '06. Crisis City was a popular choice, so SEGA included this level.
That's essentially the same as saying that if you ignored the constant crashes, Windows ME is fine. It's not fine. The game is flawed. All games are flawed to some degree, yes, but Sonic '06 is way worse. You might be able to ignore them, but anyone who wants a good, reliable game that flows well won't at all. Not insulting your opinion. I'm just saying that it's a terrible game.
***** for me I just see it as false advertisement. 3D sonic should be 3D sonic as in sonic adventure 1 and 2, sonic heroes, or sonic 2006 not 3D sonic with 2D sonic which is already it's own separate character. that's just me though, apparently some other people like it
How did you pass through that "Mach speed section" by just following the rings? I always get hit by a rock no matter what, and i can't dodge it because a fire geyser is next to the place where the rock is thrown :\
@TheCupCakeMan1 And this stage was erased from the timeline because Princess Elise blew out the flame of Solaris. This stage is really cool and all but it probably would have been better if they used a stage like Wave Ocean or White Acropolis. You know stages that would still exist even in the new timeline.
@GamerGuyd7Aces What are you talking about? They're at least as good as here, if not better. If there was anything bad about it at all, it were the controls (and I don't have the game, so I can only judge graphics and plotline). Besides, what's wrong with how Sonic looks there? I even appreciate the attempt to make Eggman look more realistic by giving him fat legs.
