It pisses me off greatly they didn't stick with the 3DS Generations being based more on Sonic's Handheld games, apart from Water Palace that is. It likely would've went Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic Triple Trouble, Sonic Advance 1, 2 and 3, and Sonic Rush, Rush Adventure and either Colors 3DS or one of the Rivals games. Such a shame too cause I would've love to see stages from those games reimagined.

Actually, the reason Jaleel White never got a role as Classic Sonic is because Sega couldn't find a way to contact him. It wasn't that they "didn't approach him", they judt couldn't find any ways for contacting him.

While I think Sonic's portion of the first Sonic Adventure is closer to a "true" Sonic game in 3D, I still think this is the best 3D Sonic to date. None of the game is out of place, the game isn't broken, the level design is great and has multiple pathways, it doesn't try to take itself too seriously, etc. All things I want out of a Sonic game. The *ONLY* thing I do hate in this game is the awful Time Eater Boss. However, I do wish they would have been more diverse in the level selection. I understand they used a poll from fans to pick the levels, but having 4 different city levels was too much. I wish they used more unique levels such as having SA2's be Final Rush, Sonic 2's be Wing Fortress, S3&K's be Lava Reef, etc. But that's just a personal preference. Or maybe have returning themes but all new levels instead of just remaking old stages. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they just rehashed levels from past games in this game or that them remaking existing levels are bad [they didn't and the levels are great]. What I mean is is that, for example, with SA1, instead of just remaking Speed Highway, I would have loved to see them take the Egg Carrier and make a completely new level with that, featuring both some parts we saw in SA1 as well as all new segments of the place. Don't have it be entirely based on Sky Deck, but also feature segments of the hub world from SA1 to the interior of the Egg Carrier, hot shelter, etc. Or with SA2, make up an all new level set in the Space Colony ARK

Growing up, I was a Nintendo kid. I've had Nintendo consoles and games when I was little. But I've never had a true favorite series until I've been introduced to Sonic. I remember one of my first being Sonic Adventure for the GameCube. Since I've played that game, I've been immediately hooked on the series. But I never knew why I thought I was a fan of SEGA as well as I was just a Sonic fan. I never liked their other franchises nor did I bother to try. But now I realize just how bad and uncaring SEGA is about the people they work with and the fans they make their games for...but Sonic is still my most favorite franchise despite some of the bad games SEGA thrown out there, I just wish they actually learn for once

This is game is so frustrating because it plays well, it finally got the 3D portion of Sonic to play really interestingly by basically making him control like a race car, and just when you thought SEGA finally got a good formula going they toss it all out and we get Sonic Lost World and Sonic Boom...

Every time I hear of this game, I smile because it's my favorite Sonic game by far. Then, I suddenly turn sad because there might not be another one like it, as the newest generation of consoles is well underway.

A pity Sonic and the Black Knight wasn't represented. That was a very underrated title, in my opinion.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Classic Sonic in Generations? Don't get me wrong, I love the older games on Genesis, but that's why i hate Classic Sonic's gameplay in Generations. You can't gain momentum by holding down while rolling down a hill, he feels very sluggish but stiff in Generations, etc.

Everyone say that Sonic Generations is the best 3D/2D Sonic game. Well it is a GREAT GAME, and I like it a lot but if you're not playing the side quests and basically doing the story levels, the game is pretty short. Seriously, I only beat it in 2 days. But I did about 30% of the side quests including the boss side quests and I don't know where I'm going with this. But in my opinion, the best 3D sonic game that I liked the most was Sonic Unleashed. I even like the Werehog levels.

I honestly wouldn't care if SEGA took their sweet time and made a good 25th Anniversary game even if it's not released this year. Heck, even if it's a "Sonic 06 done right" kind of game. Who's with me?

My favorite Sonic game ever, and I really still have hope in Sonic Team, this and Colors are really great games and some of the best platformers IMHO.

This game was and always will be one of my all time favorite games.

This has to be my favorite Sonic title. Everything from the level select screen to the levels themselves to the music to the collection room to the insane amount of references and Easter Eggs (especially in the city levels)...everything was just done right, which is hard to say for modern Sonic games.

I am little mad at the story, they had to cute so many scene out. Leaving a few questions. Like how did little Tails come in? He just showed up, out of the blue. Where did both Sonic meet up again after the hall or mirrors. Etc....

This was such a great game. They did a great job of taking all the best things from both styles of game. one of my favorites in the series (Sonic 3 & Knuckles still my #1). Great video, lots of good tidbits.

Wish they would make all future Sonic games in the style of generations, one 2D level and one 3D level I like it but instead they went down the route of Sonic Doom!

Seriously, all Sega had to do was just make a second Generations game and I would've kept giving them money, but no! Sonic Boom! That's a sure moneymaker right there!

While there are a lot of inconsistencies within the Sonic series, this game was a great tribute to all of them. And I still love the franchise. I just hope it'll get better in the future.

Normal person: "This game is definitively not perfect, but all in all a really good and probably best Sonic games for years, mainly because of the 2D retro Sonic sections." Sonic fan: "Oh mai God, this game is a masterpiece! It's the best game I have ever played!"

By far one of the best Sonic games in a long time! I loved every minute of this game.
