Still slow, people seem to like this kind of speed, the same type of speed from the adventure games.

Kirigaya Kazuto Well the boost formula is no where near as good as the Adventure formula since it doesn’t allow for as great level design and controls like ass when you’re not running in a straight line.

@@coleminer8847 I haven't played Sonic Colors, so I don't know. Based on what I've seen from the gameplay of Sonic Colors, I think there's too many 2D sections in the game. It relies too much on the wisps (I get that wisps are the whole point of the game, but I prefer more traditional Sonic gameplay.) Also the levels seem too short for my taste. Also, I haven't really seen that much Adventure style platforming in Sonic Colors. My impression of Sonic Colors is that it's mostly either boost gameplay or 2D platforming. It lacks proper 3D platforming based on what I've seen. I could be wrong since I haven't played it. The first half of Planet Wisp on Sonic Generations is really great. That's the kind of 3D platforming that's been missing in many modern sonic games.

Thank heaven, I'm not the only one who feels this way! Like, I enjoy using the boost at specific instances, but I honestly find it alot more gratifying to rely on Sonic's other moves and proper platforming. You really feel how large and intricate the levels are that way. Plus, while I's Generations Sonic controls pretty well, I think he's just a little too loose when boosting (though quick stepping can correct this if the situation allows for that).

@Welp no. The spin dash, you have to charge it before releasing and its effect is not infinite. Boost is nearly infinite.
