Really fascinating stuff. Would love to see more content like this on Sonicstate. Would also like to see what sort of settings were used on the neve, distressor, etc. on the way in. Big thanks!

Hey Steve, nice to see and nice drum sound. What's the reason behind not using the Apollo by itself?

He was working with an old Mac Protools system, which does not have Thunderbolt

When he ran out of DSP on X8p wouldn't he be able to use some of the DSP from the Apollo TWIN he has on his desk?

Drop some virtual channels to gain DSP?...
@underpressureman

So this may be a dumb question, but once you commit a UAD plugin to a track in real time you can then take that particular plugin off the track to free up DSP power is that right?

No
@kpnutz52

Yea. If you have recorded it. Its printed in the audio track. Then reset your console. And all your dsp is back.

@@kpnutz52 Ha I just realized the way I wrote that question was confusing! Ya, by (off track) I just meant taking the plugin off console(ie reset it) after it has been commited. This was right when I got it last year lol. Thans for your help!

Why would you want to copy an original track note for note ???

Why not make a bus with one studder? And free up dsp

Come on. 2 mins of sound examples. 15 mins of a guy talking. I promise most people want to know what the Apollo sounds like. Not him.
